Agreed. An IQ quotient might describe a person's logical reasoning and problem solving capabilities, but intelligence in itself has other dimensions such as self-awareness, emotional knowledge and social capabilities among others.
This is a very skewed determination of intelligence. It is well known by those who have studied psychology, that an I.Q. test is not a very appropriate way of determining intelligence as the test itself has a lot of very biased factors involved in it that limit its usefulness. To use the I.Q. test as the only significant way of determining intelligence in the ranking of European nations is therefore not going to give you an accurate result. When the only additional factors are how many Nobel Prizes they have won? Really, this just needs to be chucked right out. (Sorry. You must have been trying.) ALMOST EVERY COUNTRY has invented SOME things that are significant to the world. To say that this country invented this 1 thing that is widely known to back-up the intelligence of the nation again shows that this was not particularly well done. I was expecting better & was interested in your findings. I come away from this video knowing that I am no clearer advanced in the most intelligent European nations, only more knowledgeable about who MAY have scored higher on the I.Q. test - & again, how were even the I.Q. rankings determined? Does EVERY European country require ALL of its students at the same age to undergo this test? I doubt that this would apply all across Europe, even IF this was an appropriate way of determining intelligence.
I don't agree with your interpretation of the test, but with your criticism on the number or density of Nobel prices. That would be a unique example at the upper end of the spectrum, telling not much about the mean value. Why not also consider the IQ of the dumbest person as indicator?
@Carrie-so3ro Hi! Perhaps you missed the point of the video. We absolutely did not intend to claim that having a higher IQ means being more intelligent, as we stated both in the video and in the first comment. Our intention was to create a more "relaxed" video than the ones we usually make. With this video, we didn’t aim to conduct a study on the most intelligent nations (comparing the actual intelligence of peoples is impossible), but rather to present this study to show that IQ and high quality of life in a country do not always go hand in hand. Additionally, to enrich the video, we included some information about Nobel Prizes and inventions from that country. But, as we mentioned before, this was more to create a "relaxing and entertaining" video rather than a truly informative one, as we usually strive to do. Have a great day! 😊

I had the impression that it was MEANT to be informative - which is why I watched it. (You actually DID claim that higher IQ meant more intelligent. It was right in your video title; " ...Top 10 SMARTEST...". Usually the term intelligent & smartest are taken to be the same thing. I expected that you would have had more to round out the consideration than that when I watched it. Just a point for future - video titles ARE taken at their word.
@@Carrie-so3ro you idiot Ur opinion is BS an IQ test from military is approx 85 percent correct , if U test at 165+ which is my test and by the chief physiologist of Dept of Education ,over 10 years and 2000+ hours .Inc nuclear physicist.and elect.geeks ,in same class . In my opinion, after a number, U must do something No one else has done ! In my case design the best aero in 20 years , or redesign of an eng to increase HP by 100 percent .Not tune , redesign.! The current IQ is the IQ of the original population +- the differential IQ of the immigrants multiplied with their percentage. So those countries not affected rank higher.
A better comparison is patents by country. This shows not only intelligence but people applying their intelligence into good ideas that we can all prosper from.

100 is the AVERAGE IQ....! So being a few decimal points above or below 100....does not indicate ANY remarkable intelligence whatsoever.!!! I wonder what inaginary scale has been used here....?!.
