Ucraine now has two women jumpers that are also blessed with top model looks...They are so young ,we will enjoy for some years their competition. Thank you TPM for the post.
The clearance on the 2.06 jump might have cleared a world record height. The girl for the future is Yaroslava Mahuchikh ....0nly 18 yrs old and cleared 2.04!!!! A joy to watch high jump and pole vault.
I like how the u23 record was broken like 2 or 3 times this year. And now Yarolsava has 5 more years to break it again before she is 23. every jump over 2.04 by her is a new record.
Sadly, there are only 3.5 places (stadiums or pools) where world class athletes can train (almost in every kind of sports). So Ukrain has a little smithy, not factory
it would not last long, everyone would be kicked off at the start, and with no way to improve, and we like watching the athletes as they make their way up in height.
If the female high jumpers could be bothered to grow just half a beard, the evidence presented here suggests they could improve their personal bests by around 20cm (admittedly at the expense of halving the audience figures).
