@@tilly_horses Then you and your horse are in trouble that you may not be able to recover from. Investigate the FCD (French Cavalry Directives), especially the priority placed on "coxo-femoral articulation", Section 34.

@@JaneFrizzell I’m pretty sure I’m doing the right thing with my horse lol thx for that judgement. I have an EDL licensed instructor who is all about the lightest way to teach and what’s best for the horse who learnt with Philippe Karl and my horse seems to love the way I train him. He follows me everywhere now and always looks forward to our daily sessions. I am teaching him how to use his body so that I don’t harm him when I ride and learning how to correct his natural asymmetry. I love the way I teach my horse and what on earth would I recover from? I don’t understand some ppl 🤦🏻‍♀️

@@tilly_horses I hope you'll research the actual training because this is not it. It is a very dangerous thing to do in horse training to idolize a person. Instead what is important is to learn the principles. This man you 'idolize' negelects the most crucial tenet in the way-of-going. By idolizing him, you may never progress far enough to be able to realize what has been neglected. Are you willing to risk that ? Is 'pretty sure' sure enough ?

@@JaneFrizzell I have no idea what on earth u are going on about? I’m a 14 year old girl who wants what’s best for my horse I never said I did exactly what Philippe Karl does but I do love how in some of his books he compares modern dressage to classical and how forceful modern dressage is today. I am happy to do some research on whatever you are going on about but I like the way I train! I do research every night reading online books about the classical masters and straightness training and I also love watching Marijke de jong. I am doing an equine programme some weeks with my horse some are theory and that counts 75 points towards SACE and it goes all the way to Olympic disciplines. I would never want to harm my horse I ride in a cavesson and am teaching him how to bend and I do more ground work and inhand than anything else. You seem very sure about what ur talking about so I’ll try and research it but I am happy with everything that I do with my horse. when I was little I went to a dressage school and they pulled their heads in and the horses were shut down so when I finally got my horse I wanted to connect with him and I found my instructor now and I love classical dressage and in my opinion Philippe Karl, Brent Branderup and Marijke de jong are amazing and I want to be just like them! I have had my horse for a yr and we’re still walking when I ride but I am ok with that bc I want what best for him. It seems like u r set on ur opinion just like me!
