Sentence for the lad in the Lexus is as ever nowadays, embarrassing!! They may as well have sent him to the Maldives for an all inclusive 3 months as send him to a young offenders institute!! Did you not say he was 19, so why he going to a young offenders institute? He’s old enough to drink alcohol, drive a vehicle & vote but not old enough to go to an adult prison (not that it would make much difference to his future). And I loved the officer who was reading out what he was being charged with while in the back of the van…… “have you had any alcohol?” Answer “No”. “Have you taken any drugs?” Answer “No” & then seemingly just trusts what this pillar of the community says & closes the van door behind him!! Surely regardless he should have been given a breathalyser & drugs wipe (or at least tried to make him take them rather than just closing the doors on him). Doesn’t take a brain surgeon that the people caught in both of these incidents will be before the police many times again in the future because there is no fear of what they are doing & the consequences they face!
@@SpeccyMan But originally the lad didn’t refuse because he wasn’t asked to provide. He was asked if he had partaken in any of those things & just said “no” & the officer seemingly took his word as gospel, closed the van door & went about his duties. If the office had said I require you to provide a specimen of breath & to do a drugs wipe & the lowlife had refused, then it’s a refusal which seemingly happened some time later. These things are time sensitive, they need to be done within certain time scales before levels start dropping for evidence purposes.
I know they’re advanced, pursuit trained but driving at speed with only 1 hand, that’s a bit dodgy, see them on the police programmes doing it all the time, even at over 100mph
