This is how to fight a secret boss in High on Life 0:00 Introduction 0:21 How Gus Figures Out Douglas is Lying 5:15 What Happens if You Shoot Douglas With Gus 6:47 Secret Boss Fight 8:55 Conclusion #highonlife #squanchgames #gaming
But you'll miss my favorite line from the entire game. "You should just give up this cartel thing and go back to being Dr joopy. We loved him! We would never hurt Dr joopy!" -Kenny
This is actually rather clever that they did something like this and rewards you for having the right gun at the right time and taking out the boss early (or at least changing the aspect of the fight against his suit instead of him).
There's also a vice versa that happens. In the purple jungle planet there's an office moplet that you're unable to convince that u are the new boss, however sweezy's attitude convinces them you are the new boss, if you have sweezy. The moplets will do whatever you tell them to do, which includes some demented instructions if you want
@@marcosdheleno you are rewarded because this starts a string of evidence on a hidden character. Gus will keep picking up clues about this characters location and you get another game ending
After Doing the first bounty in the slums, you can choose Krubis or Douglas as your second bounty. If you do Krubis’s first, you unlock Gus who is able to catch out Douglas and make the boss fight easier. If you do Douglas first, the time changing gun allows you to be the boss instead of the hire for the paperwork mission
I'm glad that this game is genuinely deeper than the talking gun gimmick. The guns themselves have a couple of different ways they can be used to create combos and the like, even the enemies' slime body armour is kinda fun to see get ripped off them. The dialogue may get frustrating at times, but at the same time there is A LOT of dialogue in there and the developers did a fantastic job of preparing for optional outcomes.
the whole point of the game is the dialogue. my fav bit was in the weapon grafting chamber. before you go in to it, you can just sit outside & the dialogue is hilarious.
@@shooterboi ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Q2_-EXyPv_c.html at 1:38. if you just stand outside & not go in, the dialogue goes on for like 5+ minutes. had me in tears lmao you can hear the start of the alien being nervous.
In the boss fight, at stage 3 Douglass asks if you're scared, at stage 3 in the suit boss fight the suit says that it can detect fear in your brain waves. Attention to detail.
I knew he was Douglas, but I had Kenny out the whole time because I thought he was the gun with most dialogues of them all and didn't get the option to shoot him
I did the bounty for Douglas first so Kenny was all I was using. I tried to shoot him right away and then started to think maybe he was just luring me to Douglas lol
The Douglas faking a family and the way it’s figured out is actually a Total Recall reference, where Arnold realizes a cabby is lying to him when he talks about his six kids repeatedly, then talks about his TWO kids later on, and Arnold calls it.
You missed the best part, when you solve the puzzle and don't shoot him he goes "you know how hard it is to solve puzzles while hungover?!" After all the people saying he got super drunk at the party the night before haha
That basically happens in a comic but without Jarvis, the first iron man suit takes over his body when he makes it and removes unnecessary things like his skin
In Fable 2 you find a female NPC asking you to save her family she tells you to follow her into a ruined castle then you discover she's a werewolf that was luring you into her lair so you become meat for her offspring.
But only in one of these games you get the chance to kill the dude before the gig is up, guess that decides which is the better game For legal reaons that was a joke, both games are great for different reasons
Interesting, I used Gus through this portion, but I must have missed the dialogue where he says to shoot him because I was focused on solving the puzzle.
Really? I got bored watching this video, how fun can the game be 😂 all I see are negative or moderate reviews about it. Little too much dialogue for me, shit almost put me to sleep
@@mattmurdog7590 Wow you are just so cool. No one cares for your boredom.... You saying " how fun can the game be 😂" is crazy ignorant when you have only watched a snippet of the game and cleary got a predetermined feeling about the game from reviews and shit
Doesn't Tom Kenny voice Douglas? His innocent voice sounds like Spongebob while his aggressive voice sounds like Patchy the Pirate. The fact that Douglas is a sea creature too, that cannot be coincidental.
Gus is such a good gatlian. I am happy that he settled in Los Santos and started a self help/spiritual help radio show under the name of Dr. Ray De Angelo Harris. Sad he lost his mind over coconut water and how supremely hydrated it made him.
I actually caught that he kept changing up the kids name when I first played this game which kinda gave it away for me I didn’t know he would be Douglass but i did realize he was lying after playing bioshock i always find video game characters trying to find their families sketchy lol
Yeah but you miss a chance at a trophy/achievement. If you get the gun from Douglas first then head to kill Krubis you get a opportunity to boss around the teddies with that pink gun. Its cool the game recognizes stuff like this though which ever path you choose
One such funny Haha thing which gives you a achievement/Trophy which says you spent 15 hours in a alien strip club XD (Which there is no Alien Strip club in H.O.L). But i won't spoil when you get that just in case so a person doesn't comment with "You had to SPOIL it didn't you?".
Just finished my 1st playthrough and I love how many little easter eggs like this I missed. Such a great game and knowing the devs'/writers' creativity, there is still a lot out there to still be found.
Gus to me is probably the smartest Gatlian and has the best memory too. He could tell Douglas was lying pretty easily as he kept screwing up his fake kids names over and over again. Also JB Smoove was a great choice to voice Gus too :)
not to bash there idea of a "non-linear story" but i played the game in a "linear fasion" and honestley all the "secrets" kinda just lend themselves to you as you play, but i love seeing all these people freshly discovering these things
Underrated game full of creative surprises! This may be the most creative! Kill the boss and fight his suit anyway! Great stuff! As someone with 30+ years of game experience, this is great, and VERY funny!
im glad you showed both ways and dialogs and stuff so we can see the differences, i feel like earlier videos werent like that. but its a good change for sure
Dude whenever Kenny speaks I physically only hear his lines as if Morty is saying them, I cant take it seriously cuz it's like "Morty is speaking to me" even though I know it's a different character lol
Holy shit i remember your videos of Destiny 1. I watched every one of your videos back in the day. Your channel has obviously done well and I am not surprised!
I came across you out of the blue playing High On Life 9 years ago I first came across your channel showing us the Minecraft Easter egg in Borderlands 2!
I figured him out after the first puzzle, I didn't know you could do this though, I would have tried shooting him again at puzzle 3 if Gus would have told me through the loud speaker
This game I finished now want to do a 2nd playthrough. Hands down one of my recent favorites. Last gun had me internally laughing while fighting final boss
This happened on my first playthrough. I made a point to use him on this level cause I just got him. On my second playthrough I did this level first and was surprised to see it went a different way.
[4:24] "I'm really, really trying not to think of my wife's body getting ripped in half." I wonder if this line means anything or if it's just Douglas being Douglas.
After the second time they pointed out how cute and nice he was I knew something was up. I didn’t get this dialogue tho or I would’ve let loose on him lol . I killed 5-Torg with no hesitation
I finished the end of the last puzzle before they finished the dialogue and missed this. Thanks for making this video so I know what happens if I hadn’t jumped the gun
I could tell Dr.Joopy was Douglas right away because I actually paid attention to Douglas’s body and how he moved in his commercial 😂 And because nobody is ever that nice in the Rick and Morty universe
I knew from the third puzzle that he was Douglas before I even touched the puzzle bc we were right next to Douglas's office and I thought why would prisoners (Dr. Joopy's family) be in Douglas's office so I pause the game In utter denial that Dr. Joopy was Douglas, In 5 seconds I went through all stages of grief and then I was like "alright let's get this over with." and to be completely honest I like it when Douglas was alive because it adds more to the fight than just a metal suit talking shit.
In fallout new vegas there are enemies that are just this Hazardous Environment suits that keep on working despite the Wearer already being a Skeleton or mushy goo
