Goals. 👆 I’m studying computer science right now, but I’d love to work remotely as a software developer and live in the Orlando area. I lived there for 5 years and worked at Universal, and I loved it. And Winter Park is a great area. Most of my favorite restaurants are there.
I’m convinced (though still trying to convince my husband) that we’ll end up moving from the UK to Orlando one day, so knowing about job options is super interesting for me! Thanks for the great content once again 😊
Meanwhile, my wife and I are ready to move to Scotland. lol If you’re willing to give up some basic human rights like free healthcare and decent parental leave (also, not a human right, but your vacation/holiday benefits won’t be as good), I’d highly recommend it. It’s a great place to live and work, and I don’t need to tell you how fun it is to live in this area. In addition, while pay is a bit lower than the national average (despite the fact that it’s still fairly expensive to live here), there is no state income tax, so you save money there. Not sure how that adds up with income, though.
This seems to be a fun filled city, I hope I can visit sometime in the future. Seeing and sharing places like this is why I love traveling and make videos so much!
I have been living in Orlando for two decades now, and “high paying” jobs in Orlando used to be alright. I am talking $120k here. By 2022 with all of the inflation, I had to take a remote roll with a company out of California because Orlando jobs were no longer competitive for the new cost of living here. There are a lot of people working remote out of Orlando, and making bank!
Hello my name is Tito. I live in the Bay Area California. i have a family. I an electrician , I been doing it for about 19 years now. The annual pay here for an electrician is 140k to 180k plus medical and retirement.. I really want to move to the area of Tampa or Orlando. I know the rate for an electrician over there is a lot lower so that’s what it’s holding me back. I would like your input. Thank k you
I’m a Salesforce admin for the biggest personal injury law firm in the country, and it’s based right here in Orlando. And, of course, we’re hiring, too!
Data Engineer here, working for a mid size company in St Louis, going remote after a deal with my employer. Currently under contract, buying in Davenport
I studied computer animation 12 years ago. As well as film and video and video editing. Ive never got a chance to work in the industry in Chicago. Ive so far worked in school as a parapro and I am doing their social media part time, which Im finally filming And editing sports games and taking pictures of the sports teams, using green screen and adding backgrounds to them. I love the weather in Orlando, I like how its in the middle of florida and the hurricanes aren’t that bad as living near the ocean.
So it definitely looks like health care , law, tourism and real estate are big in the future of the Orlando area, do you foresee a lot of growth in technology /it jobs ( outside of what is needed to support those other industries)?
Some of the warehouses pay okay Pepsi starts at 20.20 to be in order selector I know Publix starts at a little bit more I think it's 20.85 if you can match their cases per hour you can make up to $30 an hour
Army Veteran - Medic - Experience in Healthcare & Manufacturing. Also, good knowledge base of construction basics & automotive mechanics. Must move to Florida before winter 2022 (elderly parents). Must have a job that at least starts at $30/hr in order to maintain current standard of living.
I will be finished with my MBA in spring 22 that is when we will start looking hard at moving to the area. Right now, I am in project risk management for Southern Power, a renewable energy provider. Places like Siemens and Reedy Creek are high on my list of potential employers.
Do it! Feel like roofing is a MASSIVE opportunity here. Storm damage/insurance jobs, most of the housing stock is 15-30 years old so they’ll need replacement, and new construction. Straight up gold mine. Add in some customer service and you’ll kill it
I’m working in hospitality in hotels and currently looking to relocate from Dallas ..also I’m looking into getting to airport customer service. I’m in between deciding between Miami or Orlando in terms of pay wise and apartments within $1,200.00
Thank you for sharing this video💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽. As an Entertainer negatively affected by COVID-19 finding work and a new place to live with a lifestyle change is necessary. We are planning on relocating to Orlando, Florida and finding work for me in Entertainment is important. ☺️☺️☺️
Another well researched & well thought out topic covering the Orlando community! Been following you since the very first video you produced. Question / Comment Folks hear “Good Paying Jobs” but often can’t quantify what that means... While it’s nice to reflect on “good paying jobs” & the employer landscape, I think it would be incredibly well received to define income by zip or community and correlate that buying power by comparing average home prices in that comparison. That data driven comparison would provide flexibility to add personal insights on prevalent neighborhood / builders / developments / housing type(ie Single Family, Condo, Townhome, Tower, Short Term, Long Term, etc...) in those areas. Thanks for the many insights and for the consideration! As an ambassador for Central Florida, there are many of us that appreciate your messaging! Thanks & please keep at it! Cheers From Milwaukee!
Another topic that would be interesting to know. What are the option for shopping for ethinic food around the area, not only restaurants, but grocery stores. I know there are some Brazilian stores all over South and central Florida, but how about Asian food, or European food?
@@geno5169 been to Orlando a couple of times, but never found Asian or European groceries. Where do I find them? I know there are restaurants, but that's not what I am looking for.
ken love your videos, passion and information about Orlando..I’m in Sports industry.. Past 3 years been working in Portugal for Soccer, do you know a link at Orlando FC .. i might be far reaching but born and raised In Boston, MA

My wife is in nursing and she looked in Orlando and celebrating .wow there’s jobs everywhere and high paying jobs in Florida.everywhere in Florida.better then Pennsylvania and there’s more beautiful weather abs we can wear shorts 12 months a year.we’re so ready so to move just don’t we’re to move .
I work for payments and processing in the tech side. Chase Paymentech (the processor for Chase banks) would be interesting to me. I know that many years ago, there was a dude that we used to work with and was our insider in Chase Paymentech. He was living in Orlando back then. I think they decided to have their headquarters in another state down to the road, but I was wondering if they have offices there though. We will be moving towards the end of the summer to Orlando area, but I think we will wait to buy when the houses in Sunbridge start to sell. Very interested in all the info you share in your videos. It helps us to decided where to move to. Husband works remote for Fintech here in San Francisco Bay Are. So, we are ready to enjoy better weather year round, no state taxes and low prices for housing, because here they are going to the roof.
Hi Ken, I'm a music producer, and an engineer from Chile. I have worked my last 5 years in recording studios, recording voices and musicians un Chile. Do you know where I could look for a full work in Orlando?

Goodmorning love following you. I'm moving from Southfield Michigan to Lake Nona. A dream finally coming true. By profession I am a Electrical Engineer, and by trade a Electrician. Can you post those companies or advise please?
I have 10 years customer service experience in beauty and retail. I have 5 years front desk/ concierge experience. I need no less than $1000 a week full time. ANY SUGGESTIONS ARE WELCOME
Ken, really enjoying your channel! Regarding high paying jobs, I'm currently in sales for a lumber & building materials supplier, outside sales dealing with mostly contractors and the occasional homeowner. What would the opportunities be for someone with my skills? Currently 51 and on target to retire in 9 years and relocate to Florida, currently weighing the pros and cons of making the jump sooner. Thanks!
Hey Ken! I'm not from Florida yet, but I plan to be soon. No worries, you'll be my go to when I'm ready, but I have a question. What is a good salary to have living in florida and owning a home worth at least 450,000? :-)

I am in the financial industry. I plan to relocate to Lake Nona this summer I would like to rent a house or a condo for six months to see if my family gets acclimated to the area.

Ken do you know what public safety looks like in the area? I'm the safety officer at a large fire department in California and it's been hard to find information on departments in Central Florida.
Construction doesn't pay as well in Florida as it does in the Northern states...Are there any companies that can match $35 an hour for a Master Electrician with a strong PLC background?
The VIP suites alone at some of the hospitals can attest to money that some surgeons are bringing in from their patients. I’ve taken care of many out of state patients who come to have surgery by specific surgeons.
I’m an accountant & my husband is a funeral director whose going to be licensed in Fl in August, so we can’t wait to move down in the Fall/Spring (2022). Love your videos, great content.
@@baygirlbritish just curious to see what the job market for shipping/logistics is like in Orlando. Is there a decent demand for such jobs? Average salary range?
