I agree, Walty. When Tomac, Webb, and Roczen come back to Pro Motocross, I'll be pleasantly surprised if they are fast enough to race bar-to-bar with Jett Lawrence because they won't be at their peak like they were years ago. I'd love to be wrong, though, and as the old saying goes: Anything can happen. I was truly hoping Sexton would get that moto win when he was dueling with Jett, but he had to lay 'er down again. Deegan rode like a man on a mission and it was great to watch.

The only problem with that theory is that it's assuming at 20, Jett is at his peak, and I don't think any great rider will tell you that they peaked at 20 years of age.

I predict: Deegan, barring any crashes, will DOMINATE Southwick. It is sandy, it is TOUGH ENDURANCE race for the rider! And you have to be in the best shape to race it strongly to the end. I remember James Stewart commenting once that Southwick is a killer race - of the body and mind - especially if it is HOT !!! I think Deegs is ready to do his thing at Southwick - far more an any of his competition, for sure.

I agree the lawrence kangaroo 🦘 party is over when deegan hits the 450s. He knows how to ride a 450 and hes younger and had the same sx season as jett lawrence who finished fourth as well as haiden. Deegan will win in the 450s cancil out the jett fan girls dream 😢😢😢😢😢

Southwick week after next and then redbud Walty.. badass either way. I’m really hoping Eli has strong return but it’s a very tall ask even for ET to jump In on a bike he’s never raced outdoors to be competitive right away but if anyone can do it’s ET3!

For those who DOUBT that Deegan can challenge Jett, I sure would like to hear the reasoning that goes behind that opinion. Deegan came from WAY BACK in the pack, accomplishing a feat that Chase Sexton only recently accomplished. Deegan can do that EVERY weekend - if he has to. Mr. Deegs is in the ZONE mentally - AND he is in what can only be described "in ultimate physical shape." Again, barring a horrendous crash, he is going to ABSOLUTLEY DECIMATE his competition this year. No big news there! He is doing it as we speak. And every one of his competitors KNOWS it.

Hell, I will even go so far as to say that he is on par with Ricky and James in their ability to catch and pass everyone - no matter their first turn position. Remember that one year with James and Ricky at Hangtown? Both had trouble on the very beginning of the moto. Came thru the pack and caught the leader, Chad Reed!!! And passed him like he was a mid-packer.

Tom just beat Deegan in the 250 sx and got that chip. Y'all seriously think Tom would have done that if Lawrence was still in that class ? Lol absolutely not !!! Put some respect on Jetts name and seriously think about what yall are saying 🤔 You really don't believe last weekend that Kawasaki would have taken the overall in the 250's if Lawrence was still on the 250 Honda ??? These guys that are finishing before Deegan wouldn't stand a chance at that if Lawrence was still in the same class... A fill in rider on a borrowed Kawasaki 250f took the overall in the 250 class this weekend. That doesn't happen in Lawrence's world !!!

here’s a reason, at the practice track Jett jumped on Chances bike for fun and went 2.5 seconds a lap faster ( with Chances settings). Last week Haiden couldn’t catch Chance, by his own statement in the presser. Jett would have won that race by a minute

In the 250 lcq race unfortunately Evan ferry fell in a rut at the bottom of the steep downhill before the finish and was trapped under the bike for maybe 45 seconds and the whole pack had gone by before the Flager that was standing right next to him finally decided to help him from under his bike bad luck

I doubt Jcoop will ever bring it to Jett... Hunter might grab a few. Chase is his toughest competition. I'm disappointed with his mental game. That's the missing piece of the puzzle. I think the only one in the pipeline is Danger bro to bring it to Jett. Pretty sure Danger had fastest lap times of the day. No one in the 250 class has anything for him.
