What are you using for shock cord? I am familiar with soft shackles for vehicle recovery. Are the soft links you mention made similar with a loop of cord with a knot and when you wrap it around on it self the knot keep the loop together?
Hello @MerrixsOutdoors, I got my soft links from Rocketman Parachutes. I am using their 1200lb soft shackle on this rocket. Similar concept but instead of the knot they use a piece of thick nylon sewn on like a flag. You thread the end of the link through an eye beside the nylon flag and then you have another eye on that piece that slips over the flag to lock it in place. It's not the easiest thing to describe but I hope this gives you the idea.
