Congrats on the L2 from sunny, your videos documenting your process are an inspiration to my 6yo son who's loves seeing your process and progress over the years.
I think there are plugins for some video editors that let you do that. I'll have to investigate. I've done it manually in the past but it was a real pain.
I have often thought about what's with your 2 stage Horizon project. :) What's the name of the simulation software ? Is this the one inspired by Dean Wheeler's, you wanted to make ?
We've been making some progress on the Horizon project in the background. Getting our L2 was also a part of the process in being able to launch Horizon. The sim software in this particular video was just OpenRocket. Here is our port of Dean Wheeler's water rocket simulator that we now use all the time: www.aircommandrockets.com/sim/simulator.htm
@@AirCommandRockets Horizon is a water rocket, why would you need a motor certification to fly?

@@AirCommandRockets Oups, yes, it's not a water rocket simulation in the video. I was tired the other evening. 😬 I am very glad that your port of Dean Wheeler's water rocket simulator finally exist. :) I never managed to get the other simulator to work with the javascript thing... The only problem for me are the limitations of Total Volume, Water Amount, and Empty Mass... 😅
Awww man! Not the rocket-eating trees! It looks like there is plenty of open space from up there. I think that SpaceX would have it way easier to land rockets on the ocean if they would carry a tree in one of their barges. You know, rocket guidance by means of trees.
Congrats, but crap that they didn't let you press the button on the launcher. Seems another group going to the USA model of "build it but we get to do the fun shit".
Believe me, last thing I want to do is push the button. If something goes wrong I don't want to get the blame ... just kidding :) The LCO is more than happy to let you press the button if you want. I'm usually too busy operating cameras.
Nice! I've been thinking for a long time that it would be neat if you did a flameless water hybred. H202 (hydrogenperoxide) in one tank and a water/potassiumpermagnate (sp?), (a purple die used to control algea in ponds and lakes) in a second tank, mixing as they flow into the motor. Add a few drops of dish soap.
