VERY GOOD INFO. ONE THING NOT MENTIONED IS THE CLICKING NOISE YOU MAY HEAR WHEN THE TAPPET OR CHASE BEARING IS GOING BAD. THE PUMP ITSELF IS NOT BAD BUT MAY FAILIF THE CHASE BEARING IS NOT REPLACED. THIS NOISE IS VERY COMMON IN KIA SORENTOS AND OTHER MODELS WITH THE 2.4L

I have a problem with loss of power on acceleration of ghibli 2017, changed fuel pump, no change. There isn’t any issue with fuel line but some people suggesting to replace fuel line and some are asking to change pressure fuel pump. Both parts are expensive, please suggest what to try with first ?

My car don't stall out and my car starts right up. You described perfectly the issue I have with acceleration. I get a misfire during hard acceleration, and it sounds like the engine is running out of gas for a second, but then it does eventually get there. My engine lite will come on as well. I am going to replace the fuel pump and hopefully that will fix the problem..

Hi there! Thank you for this info. I have a MK8 st 1.5 from 2019. It sputtering between 3 ot 4000 rpm. Not everytime but sometimes. Can you read out this error ? Or just replace the pump and see if it solves it? Have used cleaners for injection but the car has just 50.000km on the clock. Can't be the injectors right?

I have a juke, starts & stops after only a second. I did notice for awhile there was a delay of power but that was it. Tested the pump in the tank and it works. What's really odd is it throws no codes.

How do you know if the sensor is bad or the pump My car used to stall in traffic but not on the highway and it was running rich I changed the pump and sensor with second hand one and now it doesn't stall but I have a hard start after a day of parking it. No faults on the OBDS

2013 Audi been hesitating a little little bit. Then started misfiring on acceleration around 4000 RPM. Every time I start, it’s still misfires I change the coil packs and everything and it still says cylinder one misfire. Could this be the high-pressure fill pump? I put e85 in it. It is tuned for E85 and I’m thinking the extra load on the high-pressure fuel pump caused it. Thoughts?

I have this weird issue with my 2010 VW 2.0. it only happens when i try to get started from a complete stop, it jumps forward, RPM jumps, then drives normal as the car starts to go. I have a 2013 bmw x1 would this cause the CPS to throw a fault code for retard camshaft bank 1 (code P1338) 🤔 i did an oil change swapped out 1 of the 2 cps sensors 2nd one in a tight spot havnt got to it yet but my high pressure fuel pump is making a clicking noise but not sure if that would affect the camshaft sensors.. thanks ps only real symptom i have you mentioned is cold start and that tick I mentioned

Hello. I have a 2014 bmw X6 35i. When the engine is cold the car runs fine. When you drive it for a while and it’s hot. At acceleration the car starts to stutter. Do you think it’s the high pressure fuel pump ? Also my son drove the car one day and it shut off and wouldn’t start. When he was wailing for the tow truck the car started back up.

SIMPLE WAY to diagnose a failing or bad high pressure fuel pump is by temperature . When the high pressure fuel pump is going bad it gets very hot and can burn your hand . It will get some heat from the block but not burn your hand. With a cold engine, start it then watch how fast it warms up. If it’s too hot to touch after a minute then it’s time to replace

I'm experiencing all the symptoms other than problems starting my car, it's a Toyota 86 2013, I suspect the fuel pump?I noticed if the tank if full it doesn't seem to have as many problems but when it's about half way I can expect these symptoms

Thank you! I already took my I dodge Durango to the shop and I needed the oxygen sensor and needed to fix the blow motor. I didn’t get it fix because I thought no issue right plus I had just gave birth so I go back to the shop and tell them I have been having car acceleration issues and then I got another code which was P06DD. They told me it was the oil pump. They’re charging me almost $900 . I immediately thought they were tryna scam me because my check engine light came one aswell. But my car has been having acceleration issues for awhile now. So it’s def making me more confident in moving forward with getting my car fixed. It should be done by this afternoon!

hello sir, i have a problem in my 2008 volvo v70, diagnostic in the repair shop says it has low fuel pressure problems, they occur daily by stalling the engine.mechanic found some metal dust from the filter and also some algae.idle is perfect, no problem at all, also starting the car normally is totally fine and normal.Today it shut down completely and the system told me low fuel pressure, but still i got it home after starting it.Fuel filter is now new.Do you think this could be the high pressure pump or something else?in this model there are no other pump in the gas tank, fuel flow is controlled trough high pressure pump.Where could the metal dust come from?Something in the fuel system is obviously broken since there are dust in the filter, could also be from the diesel tank itself but i doubt that.

I just bought a vauxhall insignia 2.0 and I've noticed it's only given me 30 miles on a £10er diesel .. frigging guttted my old car 1.9 diesel ford focus on a £10er it wud give me easily 80 miles, can anyone advice me What the problem is ??
