I mainly play Ana & Rein so i guess with their play style i don't really think it would be helpful, but i could see its usefulness for heroes such as tracer or doomfist
Yo Cyx you having any issues with melee on roadhog? id say 3/4 times I try to melee now, just in general or after a hook>shotgun combo it doesn't go off. Been doing it for a little while now, and what i find most odd is no other characters seem to have this issue
whole hog is so bad, that it's good. meaning, that you shouldn't look for the "perfect" opportunity to use it. you can use whole hog to secure just 1 kill, or to force a C9, or even to just break enemy shields. you can also use whole hog to zone enemies out. so let's say enemy genji is gonna nano-blade, you can use Whole Hog to just push the genji away from your team. there's lots of situations where whole hog is good, because the ult is so bad (don't hold onto it for too long, keep using it. only hold it if you truly think it will get no value)
So just a question. How do you one-shot hook someone? Is it only a MNK thing? I've done every dohicki but there's only a 50% chance of me actually one shotting someone. What's your secret?
Jeffsus I don’t know your exact way of doing it, but as a hog with 230 hours on him, I can tell you that a little step forward after the hook can make all the difference. Of course using melee after every hook is important too.
@@HipHopRepair thank you so much :D I'll try that the next time I play. I normally either: hook and go for headshot plus melee. I try waiting an extra second before shooting. A couple teams I don't even move my aimstick (I'm on console) but they never really worked.
@@mercsity1923 I also play on console. I don't think you should go for the headshot, aim at the center of the enemy. after the hook, move as close as you can, before the stun wears off, and one shot the enemy. a little tip: play him with confidence. reaper for example is a huge counter for hog, but I can win almost every duel with him. reaper has just one way of killing you: dodge your hook in his ghost mode. you can hit him with your far range shot and hook combo him. he knows you want to hook him and is ready to use his ghost mode. try to look at him and melee. that looks a bit like the beginning of a hook. if he gets scared and immidiatly uses ghost mode, you just can wait it out and slaughter him. play with confidence and you will be so much scarier for your enemies.
