Nice going man holy cow what a day. I’ve had my boat 6 months now and went to High Rock once and there were so many trees floating it was like a minefield. I want I go back. Just may do it Sunday now....
That morning there was trees floating everywhere on the main lake I was driving really slow it was sketchy. It was worth the trip, that lake has some big ones
dude being honest, I laugh really hard when you get pissed...not because youre upset but because I know EXACTLY how that feels to lose a good fish! That was a solid ass day! You may want to go back to that lake again...and take me with you!
btw, I think you are going to overtake me this month on subscribers! Good stuff fun to see you grow, you always put out great videos and you put them out oftem and I appreciate it!
It is funny I get so mad it's so hard not to cuss. If it was a tournament there would be cussing or tears lol. I can't believe I'm going to pass you in subs I never thought I would get this many
Growing up in Eastern NC, I always heard people talk about High Rock Lake and dreamt about fishing there one day. But it was so far away, I never made the trip. Now, living in Chapel Hill, it isn't quite such a long haul. Still not a short trip, but reasonable. Hopefully I can make it over there one day.
You have better lakes close by. I wish I was close to Jordan,Falls and Harris. There's some giants in those lakes. High Rock can be really tough I plan on fishing it more in spring.
@@landonmoore76 - Yeah, that's one nice thing about living here. Lots of good lakes nearby. That said, I enjoy travelling and exploring new places anyway, just for the heck of it. :-)
@@landonmoore76 highrock has always been my favorites to catch big largemouths. I mean lake norman have them too. They just to finicky to find and catch. But norman do have big spotted bass also
Word of caution, check if there's a tournament before launching from tamarac, most launch out of there. It gets full and the parking lot really isn't set up for it. Went one time when there was a bass and crappie tournament at the same time and it wasn't fun getting in and out. Did catch good fish that day though.
Shaky head kills it on lake norman too, at least on the southern end where I fish. Are they still doing tuesday tournaments at pinnacle? I might come fish a couple.
Oh yeah I've caught 100s of spots on a shakey head especially in spring. All the tournaments have been cancelled, that's why I'm not worried about fishing Norman for awhile
I don't know what it is but I hook a zoom worm the same way the thinner ones but I'm telling you pumpkin seed color is the best.. I just throw it out somewhere real it up and then let it fall down they love to watch it drop then bite.
Nice fish sir. I just moved down to Raleigh last fall and now that the spawn has started I'm killing them. Ive caught a 9.68 and an 8 lb fish from the bank at public ponds. Whenever the virus calms down we should fish together. It's funny because i caught the 8 the same day you went to High rock.
@@landonmoore76 It sucks that this virus is going around, because i know Jordan, Falls, and Shearon harris lakes all have monsters. Shearon harris I know has double digit fish in it. I also know of some smaller lakes here in Raleigh that you can put a bass boat on that have giants.
Yeah my scale is .34lbs off proven by tournament weights so I weighed it with the cull clip on it which weighs about 0.20lbs to make it close but that scale sucks I need one that's accurate
Enjoy your videos. 1 comment try to take the chesty off and mount the camera on your back seat post. I would like to see the whole catch going forward. Just a thought.
I have few videos with the gopro on the passenger side behind me and most of time you can't see or hear what's going on until the fish is in the boat. I will bring out some other angles so I can get some topwater strikes in video better
@@landonmoore76 I fish tournaments at Norman for 20 years. Norman has a lot of bass, High rock has just as many and are much larger, so does Tuckertown. You're not going to catch an 8 at Norman.
@@landonmoore76 I won a tournament on Norman in '99 with over 19lbs. all largemouth. That wasn't easy to do back then, did all my damage in Davidson Creek.
@@davide.8176 I agree. Norman is full of bass but all small. I say high rock has alot less bass but alot over 5lbs. I have to try tuckertown. In 99 largemouth was all Norman had. They say 2000 is when someone put spots in there
