@@derschwartzadder 1/20 isn't THAT low of a chance. Each individual dice roll has the same chance to land a 20 as any other number. Now, a string of 20s is a different story.
Oh you beautiful, wonderful humans, don't be sorry. Thank you for the enjoyment. Watched on twitch, thought my phone messed up, but then I read the title. wouldn't have mattered still would have watched and happily.
Message to Tom. For once, I guess I'm glad I'm playing catch up. With the 'demic we would all like to think was some weird dream, my work life got crazy, I stopped being able to keep up. I've been recently catching up on this campaign, but I'm current in the next campaign. (Some people were off, some people could work from home, I was classified as essential so I kept working, and only recently has me schedule even remotely looked "normal" again. I'm very happy to be away from the 60-80 hour weeks, although since I'm paid by the hour, my bank account isn't so happy about that)
If anybody needs any convincing that digital rollers AREN'T fair and balanced, look no further. I stopped using them a long time ago for two reasons. One, I prefer the physical dice and like to get a set for every character I play. Two, the digital dice rollers are aren't fair. The algorithms do not function correctly in any dice roller I've ever seen or used. STOP using them, and use physical dice instead.
So tired of seeing people so ignorant about them regularly rolling sub-10 on 70-90% of their rolls claiming that the dice rollers are fair and balanced. No...they're not, Chris Trott. Roll. Physical. Dice. You WILL perform much better.

I'm trying to take on a new project with the Aerois campaign. Critical Role's campaign 2 ended 2 weeks ago and there was a critter (Critical Role fan) named Flando who would regularly post the time stamps for every episode every week on youtube. I was inspired by them and I want to try doing the same with the current campaign in Aerois. I'll be posting time stamps from the most up-to-date VOD and making my way backwards until all the episodes have been time stamped. I hope this is helpful to some of you. Leave a comment on how I did, what I can improve on, and/or what moments I've missed. Thank you.

It drives me crazy sometimes lol. I mean come on iys just you can only have 1 concentration spell at a time and if you take damage you must make a con save equal to 10 or half the damage which ever is higher. Still love the stream but sometimes lol.
@@HighRollersDnD Hi Kim, thanks for responding, I was worried I'd been doing it wrong on my tomelock! Thank you for sharing your game each week, you guys are awesome!
@@MorinehtarTheBlue Rogues can sneak attack on an attack of opportunity, which is normally outside of their turn, therefore it is once per turn. This does means a rogue can sneak attack twice a round though, if they use it on their turn, then again on an opponent's turn. So normally a rogue will only get sneak attack once per turn.
Certain restorative functions seem beyond her but whether that's because she's new to being the Prime or the Genesis relic isn't capable hasn't been made clear.
@@SherlockHulmesDM I guess I never realized it doesn't specify once per turn ON YOUR TURN like I thought it did. It's just once on anyone's turn. Well rouges just got a lot scarier.
You are in error about what a turn actually is. When you take every individual's turns and consider that as a whole it's called a round. As such the specific statement you are looking for is unnecessary and a non-sequitur. That's what led to your confusion and misunderstanding in the first place.
@Nicol Bolas no I know what a turn is, the on your turn is not unnecessary or a non-sequitur if sneak attack only worked on the player's turn like I had thought it did. There are abilities like reckless attack that specify they only activate/last on your turn and don't last for your reactions. Also, not a proper usage of non-sequitur. Clarification of once per turn on your turn is an important distinction that has nothing to do with rounds at all. It has nothing to do with the logic of the statement. Once per turn is something that can trigger on every turn like the emboldening bond of the peace cleric and as such trigger multiple times a round, once per turn on your turn is something that can only trigger once until your next turn period and wouldn't apply to reactions.
@@fdragon77fk Your previous statements clearly demonstrate otherwise. Don't turn an attempt to help or clarify into an argument because your ego erroneously presents a refusal to be wrong.
Except for the abrupt ending it was pretty much the perfect length of time for me. I typically just listen to shows while driving or doing other tasks. I never have more than a hour for anything but work or my own dnd games which are far more exciting than listening to someone else's game, but that goes without saying. Like sports, its more fun to play than watch though watching can be fun.
Nova isn't using Tomb of Levistus right. Tomb of Levistus gives temporary hitpoint which "Take as much of the triggering damage as possible," meaning she wouldn't have taken the hit. Also, why did the stalker get sneak attack when they didn't have advantage?
While the studio is great, I feel like this might actually be better. We get to see all of their reactions whenever we want, we're not bound by the editing (Even though the editing guy does a great job, it's just not possible/a good idea to get all of them all the time) and the improved audio quality is really nice. Especially since during the biohazard stream it seemed like Trott's mic wan't working so we got big boomy trott the entire time.
@@cheat200 yeah, makes sense. I just really liked when they could support each other in person and physically whenever they have an emotional situation. Also no mics being accidentally left on mute. But I totally understand either way
Love that theyre being sponsored but i really dont like digital rolling lol. Even if it is just a coincidence/luck there's always that one part of you that feels like something is wrong with the software lmao. Makes for some funny situations tho! All in all another great session (even if it was a bit short :p)
@@derschwartzadder You've clearly never seen Taliesin's rolls in CR campaign 1. Also my rolls when I ruined a star wars one shot in 20 minutes... but CR is online proof.
I don't like to be one of "those" people, but was it a character choice for Sentry and Aila to not move to flank the Commander? Was stressing me out watching Sentry fail to land a single hit when she could have had a much better chance haha. Loved this episode regardless. Very tense encounter!
They always react so strongly when Mark rolls a 20. As DM, he has to roll A LOT. Every player making him do saving throws, all the enemies attacking each round, it stacks up. That a 20 appears 1/20 of the time is not a reason to say "you are not allowed those dice!" as has been done in the past.
Videos like these aren't good examples since Mark going on a tear is a bit different than just a single Nat 20. Though they usually react strongly to anybody rolling one. Some of that has to do with the rule Mark is using for crits on Aerois. Full damage and then the second more regular roll. So that's pretty strong too.
