Those auctions with only 1 bid are essentially the same as a buy it now, so questionable whether they should be included in the list if buy it now or best offers are not being included. Enjoyed looked at the cards though, the mantle is a beauty!
With PWCC being taken over by Fanatics, any thoughts of them trying to get back on eBay? Used to be almost all the high rollers were PWCC cards on eBay.
What people pay for almost completely unproven young players in NFL and NBA always stuns me. You see rookie autos numbered to 99 selling for near 50k. Meanwhile, Aaron Judge Red Chrome RC Auto /5 gets under 20k. Judge is currently punching his ticket to Cooperstown. Top 25 all time in Slugging and OPS, 2nd all time in AB/HR. In 2022 he had one of the 25 greatest seasons statistically in history, and he's been better in 2024. So there's a very reasonable shot that he has 2 of the 25 best seasons ever, and he very possibly had the greatest rookie season ever. Plus he has already passed the Black Ink Test for HOF. It makes no sense to me.
11:30 So which division has more corner offices in the high rise? The Ooh La La Division or the Blazer Division?1? For me personally, I'm on team Blazer.
Im new to this. I have a preproduction 1994 topps finest refractor ivan rodriquez, mint. Im having trouble figuring out the value for grading. Any idea?

The Kaboom sales to me are just insanity most of them. Ok they look cool and flashy this one is low numbered however, it’s not his Topps RC or anything but an insert a year what like 15 at that.
Good lord I love seeing those old autos, babe and franklin ect. You'll never see autos on cards like those again. Nothing but chicken scratches from anyone nowadays.
It’s not hard. Look where our country is today and where it was under Trump. I haven’t said which was better so don’t get mad but it’s not hard to know which was better. It’s pretty obvious to any objective minded person 😉.
Auctions will run once a month for now, looking to increase to twice a month in the near future. I am not sure the process of getting an email when you ship. You can email Jeremy (email on the website) for that question.
Hi Chris Question for you. I noticed on several JSA certified items that jsa doesn't always put everyone who signed the item on the letter of authenticity. Do u by any chance know why?
9:02 The “Blazer” division earned their pay on the Mays. The “Ooh-La-La” division’s guest appearance for the Payton was appreciated. BUT the “Yeah, Right” division might have to be fired for not denouncing a 2015 Connor McDavid card being more valuable than the Mint 9 Babe Ruth auto and by such a large price margin 😵💫
I have seen other Babe Ruth jersey cards before, I'm not questioning their authenticity but where re these pieces coming from? Who is cutting up game used Babe Ruth Jerseys to put them in a couple cards a year. Did one of them get irreparably damaged at some point and someone sold scraps to card companies? I would genuinely like to know.
There is a video from Leaf showing and explaining how this works...probably a jersey or multiple were bought with some condition issue they then cut those tiny squares one ratty old jersey could produced 100s of swathes was an interestinf video i think it was leaf. They get into how they acquire the stuff and show partial cut up pieces! Worth a watch.
1) The Ruth 2004 TT auto got a 9/10? That's one of the best cut autos I've seen. Grading autos as authentic should be enough and let the eye appeal be the real judge. 2) Time machine? I thought I'd need to go back 75-80 years but it appears 25-30 years would be enough. This also gives people less time to find the cards you've hidden so when you return to the present they'll still be there. 3) If you had one day to spend in the past to hide cards and then return to the present, when or what timeframe would it be and why? I always thought it would be neat to show up the day before Al "Mr. Mint" Rosen and I'm the one that purchases the Mantles. 4) Of course if you can spend 1 day in the past doing anything, the proper thing to do would be eliminate John Wilkes Booth, Lee Harvey Oswald or Hitler. If you do this though, the present would be quite different than when you left.
Chris, I'm guessing you do a card only once...hence the PSA 7 star Jordan. Take a look at a BCCG 9 that sold a few weeks ago. Maybe had a surface issue, maybe. Otherwise looked damn good.
The Babe Ruth is a 1/1 with a piece of a jersey? What happened to the rest of the jersey??!! That 52 Mantle sale seems very fishy - not only is it high, but that is a very poor and overgraded 4 in a very old label. Are you sure it's legit?
Buy it nows are always significantly higher. Its not manipulation. Way way more shill bidding happening than bin manipulation. Auctions are a horrible way to sell.
Another nice vid! Interesting to think about that 48 bowman set; I suppose there were likely fewer teams back then, but 48 still seems like a rather small set. Fascinating that several notable rookies ended up making the cut, so to speak
As a baseball collector, it make no sense to me that a Curry case hit numbered to 10 is worth the same as a cut auto with a game used jersey of Babe Ruth
Watching high and regular since day one, my guess for name most mentioned by Chris, who is a 1/1, as baseball card collectors, investors, dealers, tend to be, has to be MJ. Just my guess.
I could be wrong, but the Walter Payton rookie appears to have a slant cut to me. The left side border appears to be slightly wider at the top than on the bottom, and vice versa on the right side. That might explain the relatively low-priced price.
I absolutely loved the CIA auction I scored the 64’ AL Bombers card and my good friend Rod Y. scored the 61’ Fleer Oscar Robinson!! Checkout was smooth as can be ..The Snowman and yourself have an outstanding site!! What’s kool is, as a first auction winner we are called CIA agents!! Great video Chris
@@awbobsagetable this probably seemed like a smart post, but didn't you just watch a Babe Ruth auto go for comparable money as a Jason Williams card on this list. OP is right, you'd have to be a goof to not notice
@@colinburroughs9871 I can find 1,000 babe Ruth autos for every 1-2 available 24kt fleer brilliants. What's your point? Fwiw, all cards are overpriced, including both of our examples. Acting in disbelief that an auto from someone who signed religiously is objectively more valuable than a /24 90s bkb card from a loved set/era is laughable. Unfortunately, vintage homers will fight tooth and nail on this topic, but most are cranky old men who are quite out of touch.
We live in a world where you can own an Abraham Lincoln signed docunent, a letter signed by Nelson Mandla or a signed photo of Ghandi for less than a mass produced Jason Williams rookie basketball card … feels a little strange.
Supply and demand... a lot more dumb dumb want some washed up athlete on their wall as opposed an actually historical figure. In 200 years nobody will give half a crap about most of these athletes. Most modern cards are just grossly over priced.
Bitching about one guy when the other guy is nothing but issues himself. This is all so dumb and if you don't know that- skip the therapy and go straight to clown school
You lame brain lefties make the lamest attacks on Trump. POLICIES ARE WHAT WE VOTE FOR NOT PERSONALITY OR PERSONAL LIVES… It’s Soooo simple what affects our lives??? Who cares what the media says about his personal life. If you don’t like him tell me a policy he did that hurt our country 😂
