HIGH SCHOOL 📝 || The Sims 4 High School Years: Speed Build 

Dawn, I love how you stuck to the original colors/vibe and still managed to make it look 10x better. You definitely put more character in this high school. So cute !

About the desks used and the trouble with the director/principal: the desk you used for teachers in classrooms seems to be the one set for principals use. As per other content creators LP, it may be why when you play tested the principal was confused. You may be only able to place one of this green desks so it works properly. Maybe that’s also what happened to the door you have chosen for principal’s office, you may need to use one specific so other teens don’t mess with her computer 😅

i’d love to see your take on a modern high school, like those fancy private schools

This school is so good! I loved all the details you added in from liveedit to bring it to life. I have never seen an American school irl, but this just seems so authentic to me. I just loved every single thing about this 🤗

Going to replace the high school with this when the pack is released, i love the skylight on the roof of the entrance. when you have all the packs you could maybe renovate this or make a school using all the packs. Get to work has some cool science posters, and the bb from discover university would go hand in hand with this pack. maybe it is not required but a computer class and a chess room for the afterschool activities would be cool to have, there are some really cool gaming posters in game. interested to see what you're going to do with the auditorium.

My favorite thing about seeing all of these creators remake these schools, is hearing about how different everyone’s schools are from different part of the world! Even the difference it sounds like from where you went to school in California, to where I went to school in Ohio sounds so different! We never really had a place for our buses to park - where I live, everyone in the school district shared the buses, so they would go from High Schools, to middle schools, to Elementary schools. And until you mentioned that your buses parked outback of your school and there was maintenance garage there, I never thought about where our buses went afterward - and I’m a teacher! Lol Either way, I love this school! Also, according to Deligracy, did you know that schools in Australia do not have cafeteria’s!? 🤣🤣 blows my mind!

I think this one is perfect for people with the BG and the pack only. You could build a different one when the pack comes out. Maybe a fancy private school or a boarding school? 🥰

I like this layout. Please do playtest when the pack comes out and put it up on the gallery because I would rather play with your version than the one that comes with the pack for sure! Nice job!

This was so amazing!! It reminds me of schools I've seen, but I think you totally should've added a locker room since you added a gym. But omg, the two uneven parts at the front of the school were so irking ;-;

I suspect the desk thing is similar to the Chief's desk in GTW, in the law enforcement career. It's a very specific desk/chair, and having multiple on the lot means they move around all the time. It should be a simple enough fix once you have access to everything again.

I love that you mention greenhouses, my high school was in an agricultural area in florida and had big gardens as well as a fish farm and a class where students learned about farming fish and plants and the produce and fish were included in school events, they would have fish fries and little produce market sale days and the green beans were so good

It’s so crazy to me, seeing all of the high school builds popping up and not being able to relate to a single one. 😭😭 My high school is literally one of the biggest campuses along the East Coast, and my graduating class had 1,150 kids… this is such an amazing build though, and I’m suddenly wishing my own campus had been something more intimate and well-decorated like whattt😭😭😭

I love it! It's my favorite school rebuild so far. My high school looked nothing like any of the ones I've seen in the Sims so far. It was all separate buildings and portables. Oh, and no lockers.

I’m definitely using this build when the pack comes out, can’t wait to add the basketball hoops from City Living here. Then add a debate club / robotics club from University. AHHH so many options 😭😭

This school build feels more appropriate than the school that is coming with the game. I mean the school that comes with the game is just so big! So empty! This one is perfect!

Gosh, my class was 485 kids, we had 2 swimming pools, a swim team, golf, archery, all the regular sports including soccer...it wasn't a huge school but it was big enough I guess! My ex sister in law's graduating class was 999! That was a hellishly long graduation ceremony!

Most of my schools were ones where the computer lab, office, gym, library, cafeteria and a few classrooms were actual buildings but most of the classrooms were portable ones separate from each other. The "hallways" were outdoors. Would be cool to see someone build a Sims school like that.

The main thing I always love about your builds is how full and real they feel. The high school EA built is huge and so empty, it feels lifeless and made the gameplay feel less impressive but seeing this build has gotten me exited again. I can't wait to download it!

This school actually seem really cozy! One suggestion is to fix the symmetry of the entrance since you were going for a symmetrical feel, the "porch" and the flower planters arent completely even 💕

I love this build so much it feels so realistic but actually i have an idea that you could integrate if you wanted to to make it even more realistic. You could make the gym a separate thing not connected to the hallway so that way the students can gather in the gym without having to go through the study hall and perhaps you could add showers to the gym and even lockers!

There was something so familiar about your build and you're also the first person I've seen make a janitor's closet! As it turns out my graduating class had 17 people, so maybe there's a bit of that rural school nostalgia for me as well haha

I love this!!!! The School that comes in the Pack is way too large and doesn't use all the space very well, which just doesn't sit right with me ever. That's why I'm going to go out of my comfort zone and try to build a High School for myself. I would get this school and make adjustments if I had a good Internet connection but that has never happened, lol. Nah amazing work, the whole 64 x 64 lot is all used and I love all the details and even the little things like clutter and all the plants and landscaping, it's why I love how much detail the game goes into in terms of building! Keep it up

Hey Simlacy I love your build! The proble with the principal you had was because you used the gameplay specific principals desk multiple times! You could use any other desk in game just not that one because it is programmed for the principal to use! Cant wait to play in this build!

This is the best school I've seen so far. It's super realistic. I think I going to download it when the pack comes out and add city living basketball court markings tho.

This looks really great, but I definitely recommend you watch some videos on gameplay to make this school as functional as possible. For example, there’s a school schedule each week when kids learn different subjects on different days, so decorating the classrooms in a more “all purpose style” might make most sense. And you’re right about the desks - only the principal needs that new desk and only in her office. She’s tied to that desk the way teachers are tied to white boards. Looking forward to seeing this once you have all the packs!!!

the parking lot spaces that are painted are a senior thing where seniors paint their parking spots in america in some schools!

In Canada the older pre-1970s schools were more or less like any basic design but growing up in the 70s and 80s in newer schools or renovated older ones with walls removed, they were open concept with classes interacting with each other. High schools in Vancouver were old school, I went to Charles Tupper, Gladstone and Van Tech, all just like they were when they were built in the early to mid 1900s. Huge schools, Tupper had over 100 classrooms alone and a fully functional 3 car mechanics garage and daycare for teen moms. They all had massive sports fields and tennis courts but oddly no swimming pools.

I think you nailed everything, I went to a giant 3 story high school, my graduating class was around 500 people. I think the only thing missing was an auditorium or something like that 💕

One thing I think would be so cool and I wish they would have added was a school counselor, I just feel like that would be such a big role for the students and another interactive staff member. They could even go to career day and students could see them if they were having issues

You should adjust the classrooms to push the teachers desk to the side cause in most high schools, the teachers desk to the side so they can teach and students can see the white board! That might also help any gameplay issues where people get stuck in areas that are tight 😊

This is great! I say just renovate it when you get access to it again, the quality of this highschool is just *chef's kiss* and I feel it would be out of this world with the build & buy from other packs
