Waking up at 6 everyday isn't too bad but in college when you don't have morning class everyday, those days where you have to wake up at 9 feels way worse
I went to Aviation HS in NYC, and for about 30% of people in my school, they come from far away places like the bronx and long island. They have to be awake and traveling by 4:30 or 5 if they even hope to reach school by 7-8 am. For them, 6am isnt bad at all.
you have so much more freedom in college, only thing i hate is that you have to waste money on useless classes that have nothing to do with your major. In highschool we took useless classes for free
MITchurns out bad engineers lmao, I'll never forget the looks on the faces of those pretentious redditors when their battlebot got its cheeks spread. Don't worry too much about getting into the "best schools", look up what graduates from the universities you did get into are doing for work and use that to inform your decision.
Idk if anyone will notice this comment but it will definitely vary from person to person - I had the dead opposite results where highschool felt awful and grinding but college actually feels LOADS more balanced + social + easier to accomidate my sleep schedule around, so who knows! You may also end up enjoying the differences of college more than HS, it just depends. :) (Best of luck to those just starting / about to start college soon btw! 🎉✨)
"in high school it's easy to wake up at 6am" every high schooler: *chuckles* you're joking right? please tell me you're joking bruh its hard to even wake up at 8am, we can't go to bed till 2 or 3am from all the hard procrastination that we have to do
The best diferente is that in high school they tell u to start acting like an adult but they still treat u like a kid and in college they do treat u like an adult
Same! Like why do we wake up at 6 to go to school? It’s not an emergency as if my homework is going to freaking die if I don’t wake up at six in the morning! I am not saving lives! I am sitting on my ass. I could learn later in the day! Why the fuck does school have to start so damn early
Just wanted to say thanks for helping me out, I am set to get my associates degree when I graduate highschool now. Thanks for the motivation and giving all these tips for students. You rock gohar!
Mine was that I was actually spoken to as a person, and I was actually shown respect, rather than being screamed at and having orders barked at me like some trained pet.
I am a high school student and one of the good universities in my country did a summer camp for high school students we did some activities and learnt some university classes. It was only 12 days but I noticed a lot of difference not only academic wise but also people and some small things.
The waking up thing is painfully true. I would wake up at 5:30 for HS, and while I was super tired, waking up at 9 for college feels so much worse. Don’t understand why, it just does
in high school, i wake up at 4:00 am to start classes at 7:15 am and then go home at 5:00 pm to do the shitton of essays my teachers asked us to make 💀
"Waking up at 6 is not that bad" My man i wake up at 7 and it feels like hell. I literelly skip school alot sometimes and just give a random excuse (my teachers dont care.) Anything below 8:30 is hell
Currently in my senior year of college. Can honestly say time management was the hardest thing for me, after my freshman year and then a year of COVID, I struggled my Junior year of college…
In India. High school is very different from college. Cause we don't have clubs, no lockers. You just sit in one class for 10 hours with only drinks and lunch in the middle.
something i noticed coming out of my first semester ir more was told is that when talking about highschool my lecturers responds was always “highschool no longer matters”
Good luck for me grade 4 5 wasnt too hard now im at junior high school 7-10 im currently Grade 8 here in the philipines elementary is 1-6 grade and junior high school is 7-10 grade And senior high school is 11-12
Here in trinidad it's pretty school or kindergarten, primary school(1st year and second year, stds. 1-5) and then u go to college at 11-12 yrs depending on when ur bday is, and it's like a mix of both that u stated
