I gotta be honest i HATE hearing noise when I’m trying to sleep and for the noise to come into my apartment waking me up i would say something too but I’m happy you tried to accommodate her. Frfr y’all didn’t need to be neighbors it was never going to work she wanted complete silence which is also unfair and unrealistic

honestly its the apartments fault! why rent out a place with thin ass walls if they knew they were getting multiple complaints. they can take that 1st month's deposit and put more insulation in the walls!!

That sucks for real. I get having a noisy neighbor. That can definitely be annoying, however I can understand why it was unfair to you as well. I get both sides honestly. You can't adjust your lifestyle to fit hers and I do believe she was being difficult. She could have cut you some slack. Its was all around a pickle to be in. The infrastructure of these apartment complexes are so shitty you can hear a fly in your neighbors house lol. They were also wrong to not tell you those details about the apartment. That would be a big deal breaker for some folks. Its probably why they omitted that information, unfortunately. All and all im glad you're in a better environment. That you feel ease and peace in this apartment. That's what a home is supposed to be. So im happy for you! Keep up the great work!

After reading the texts I get where she was coming from … this was the fault of our new society. Where we pay high prices for scraps. The walls were too thin and on top of that they put two bedrooms together?!? My one bedroom had a storage between apartments. My nightmare is being sandwiched and having a neighbor above and below. The sides were never the problem 😩🙃😬😂

I understand both sides of the story. You have every right to be mad at the apartment complex, but you have no right to be mad at your neighbor. Man. When I tell you that I'm going through the SAME EXACT SITUATION!! Only difference is, I'm living over top of a mom & her son, who's both mentally unstable!! I have an 8 yr old daughter. A N Y bump or the slightest noise will make these people go OFF!! But it's sooo frustrating because how do you get a child to understand that they can't be a child in their own home?? To keep telling her, shhhh you can't walk too hard or be careful when playing with your toys...that shit becomes a headache! If anybody care, I would truly appreciate it if you guys can say a prayer for us to move in a more comfortable & suitable environment. We've been going through this for long enough & I just know GOD has something greater in store for us 😢🙏🏾

Apartment living can be a hit or a miss. Leasing agreements are like bad label contracts because once you sign it’s over, it’s a business. I do believe when you’re in a shared living space you’re supposed to be courteous of your neighbours. I also believe that these apartment property’s need to be built better.

Nah, they told pay that noise after 10:30p was restricted and Pay is a night owl. Payton! I felt your frustration first hand. I had this same issue happen to me back in September, the first week of school actually. This new neighbor who lives next door to me spams my door bell at 4:30am, I run downstairs thinking it was my husband who had just left for work and may have forgotten something. I open the door and see this skinny ass drawn up lady talking about can you please have your dogs stop running back and forth, my friend is a DJ and he’s trying to sleep. I live upstairs, she’s downstairs. Now mind you, it’s my husband, our 20 year old son and myself who occupy the residence NO ANIMALS!!! Chile!! I let that girl have every single energy she was looking for. I’m like are you out of your damn mind ringing my door bell like your a lunatic, I have no animals here so wrong door SWEETY! Do you know she proceeds to walk away in mid conversation with her robe and slippers on banging on the next neighbors door!? 😂 I close my door, then 15 minutes later the cops are at my door. I explained to him what transpired, he tells this dumbbell that she cannot go knocking on peoples doors causing a disturbance, and the cops cannot help her with noise complaints that is the responsibility of the manager. He also told her, she cannot control noise complaints in the morning as people are going to school and work. So you know what I did? I asked the officer if I was able to make a complaint against her for banging on my door waking me up about a dog I do not have, he said yes ma’am you sure can. Now you see how shit got flipped around on Karen . As of today, she doesn’t even look my way or at my door..😂😂😂 Buy a house with a 6 foot fence around it if you want peace and quiet.

I'm not going to lie. I think she was being reasonable and her text message to you was actually very nice and her trying to reason with you without causing any issues. I don't think she was wrong at all. Like a lot of other people are saying, your energy and frustration should be with where you lived. It's not your fault or hers that the walls are thin. You have every right to do what you want when you want in your apartment. But she also has every right to not want to hear what you're doing in your apartment while she is in hers lol. I live somewhere now where the walls are thin. We hear peoples conversations, arguments, and music as if they are sitting right next to us. We can smell when people smoke and can smell what they are cooking for dinner. It is SO annoying. But it isn't their fault.

If people can't relate that's cool, they deserve peace & quiet but then those apartments with a bunch of units and thin walls aren't for them, they gotta be mindful before moving somewhere. I've spent enough time living in those type of apartment buildings to know that if one noisy person leaves, another noisy person will come. i think the biggest problem with the neighbor wasnt her complaint but how she went about it, instead of just talking to you and trying to find a way yall could come to an agreement she just went straight to complaining to the apartment complex, making you have to accomodate her while her routine stays the same and thats not fair cause its an issue that affects both your livelyhood and hers. The way she went about it was entitled because even after the 6 initial noise complaints you did try to approach her and mediate things ( which was more then the apartment complex was doing) and she STILL took it upon herself tor record you without even saying "hey just for safety im gonna record this convo", leak your job info, then add fuel to the fire with the "weed smell complaint" which was a targeted attempted to get you kicked out. you werent wrong in saying she needed to change up her routine too cause why tf would you pay all that rent to accomodate someone elses livelyhood. you handled that way better then i could, but for future purposes before you agree or sign anything like the nda the apartment gave you, speak to a lawyer and consider suing. you cldve deff got that apartment to pay for your next one lol
