Fact. People go completely out of their minds when they see my 65 i.imgur.com/XOiG9dC.jpg and it's not half as good as Georges or others on youtube.. just seems unheard of these days in the states- unlike the 1970's- 1990's. Back when everyone had a lot of money to spend on hobbies

Great scape George! Love the minimalist style. I’m setting up my first aquascape. Bought everything and just waiting for aquarium 120x50x50 to arrive. Heater, canister, UV and CO2 willl be inline (i got inspiration from one of your videos). For my scape I will go for a more nature style, similar to your big tank at home. Thx again for the inspiration! Take care, best Martin.

I’m looking for an Acrylic Aquarium of about the same size. I want no seams on it. Rounded corners, or close to oval edges; and a one foot bow in the front. 6’ long. 2’ at the bow, and about 18” at the edges oval. About 2’ high. I want to make the stand. I need stress loads of certain woods to build accordingly. I want to have circulation all around the tank. No corners, because they create dead zones. I like your setup. Enjoyed watching. You’re an inspiration to us all!

Huge group of celestial pearl danio (Danio margaritatus) or daisy's ficefish for schooling (oryzias woworae) with a group of stiphodon gobies for foreground/bottom interest, they will love the algae on the rocks. All can be kept at temperate temperatures so you'd get less evaporation. Go all out and make it a hillstream iwagumi, that would be unique and the hair grass would look amazing in the flow 😊

How about getting a large school of Beckford’s Pencilfish. Those would be beautiful, get some schooling action, and aren’t what everyone else has. They’d leave shrimp and snails alone, and eat at topwater. Perhaps they’d prefer a more densely planted tank, with cover, but I’d like to see that large school.

All EA need to do now is have pre drilled holes in the stainless so you can thread the cables through the top and bottom for the minimalist view. I'll be having a look at my set when they arrive this week, to see if it's feasible. . There are stainless cable ties available as well in brushed stainless for future reference. 4mm wide.

@Tass...
@Tass... 6 лет назад
Is this a case of form before function i ask myself. It's a beautifully scaped tank no denying that. But... the practicality leaves me wondering. 3 powerful lights in such a lightly planted tank could be an algae nightmare. Plus those Oase filters have an actual flow rate of nearer 900 litres p/h almost as soon as they are taken out of the box. Not their quoted 1250 "max" flow rate. Then there is that mass of white sand. Oh boy that's a maintenance nightmare in itself. And then you have the joy of doing 50% water changes weekly with massive volume. I'd love to see this tank in a few months. And not after several hours of cleaning it to present it to the camera. It looks a great tank for a weekend show but i'm not sure i would want to live with the hassles that are to come long term. I'd want that big boy heavily planted.
@edstaart8548

ZXBilly This is gonna be maintained by a pro, should be alright. You are so right when you try this at home as a beginner, but it's not so have a little faith, it's their jobs. @@GeorgeFarmerStudios You can only advice George. The customer gets what the customer wants at the end of the day. I also don't get the idea of someone wanting such a large Iwagumi tank. The whole ethos behind them is about miniaturization. The smaller the Iwagumi tank the more impact they have IMO. It's kinda like asking for a 6-foot bonsai tree. At what point is it no longer bonsai and just a tree? That's kinda how i feel about large Iwagumi's.
