I love the "why could you beat five high" comment. So sick dude. Poker needs good personalities. It's almost like wrestling, you need good characters. It needs it's Laaks, Negreanus, hellmuths, matusows .. nobody wants to watch the best player in the world with headphones on and no personality. Mikki is GREAT for poker. I hope to see more from him.

@@davehimlin2374 I disagree but to each their own. When someone needles Hellmuth, it makes for GREAT tv. Tony G is a prime example, he's amazing for poker, he unloaded on Ralph Perry once to the point of uncomfortable-ness and I get that but it's great tv. Personalities sell in all areas, not just poker. We agree to disagree and that's okay.

I want to watch the best players so I can learn something new, this is just an entertainment. Which I also like so watch sometimes and it's good for the popularity of poker. But every 2/5 regular would beat this table. I don't understand why people can't accept that poker is also a strategic game, like chess or something similar where people don't talk or some sort of sports (tennis, ...). I'm ok with some talk and it is more interesting, , but trying to play best game and be focused it's just impossible.

I learned that players like Garrett are more likely to call big bets because they can win a bigger prize.
@lance862

When people bet large they become polarized (mix of strongest and weakest hands) and if they're balanced it's about half bluffs and half value (for a full pot bet, more bluffs if it's larger than pot bet) and it's easier to use removal to bluff catch them. When they are betting smaller it's sort of middling value and has few bluffs. When balancing your value/bluff ratio for a given bet size the smaller the bet size the more value you need to have (though it can be weak value you making a small bet to get called by a slightly weaker hand) and the larger you bet the more bluffs you should have.

Can't fault the AK fold on that board. Props for Mikki for making the bluff even though it's kind of standard. Still takes guts to do it.

Garret gives away his hands very easily, his demeanor and head movements give him away, for big gamblers he is very easy to bluff, many times you gotta pay otherwise don't play, or play with people that are easier to bluff and play, but kudos to Nikki, he is a gambler, he can win a million or lose 10 million in any giving night

It seemed a little funny that Gal didn’t show after he jammed and it was all in. I understand that Mikki showed so he was just going to muck. I guess I show my cards too much, but It seems to make the game a little more friendly and I like it that way. Then again they’re playing for huge amounts and these guys can make good reads, so yeah I probably would try and conceal my hands as much as I could too 😀

I'm not sure how much this really matters but I noticed at 04:22 he shows his cards or at least the cards are visible from the camera angle. Weird that nobody at the table noticed. At the very least action was on him you would think the dealer would have eyes on him and saw that but nothing.

Random question but i just found this channel and noticed the dealers and players are or used to be on Live at the bike. Did they all move over to this casino and ditch LATB? or is this the same company from LATB crew?
@tyleramooney
@tyleramooney 2 года назад
Ryan Feldman and Nick Vertucci from LATB started this High Stakes production company; most likely some sort of disagreements with the LATB casino . Seemingly they recruited Magic (the GOAT dealer) and got a lot of players to come play over there. The video and audio production is night and day better at Hustler. Hustler's main draw is obviously every game is streamed and free on RU-vid. LATB did not offer full streams for free until Hustler came along.

I mean wasn't it pretty obvious that Mikki was bluffing on that 5-4 hand? You would expect him to be ridiculously aggressive right after winning that big pot, having all that to play with. Seemed like an obvious tell to me.

Not only is it more entertaining for viewers to have players like Mikki at the table, every single pro would 100% rather have someone like him at a table than a nit. Also, I don’t really understand Phil’s play either day he played. It’s like he wasn’t there to really play Poker, he just was there to make an appearance and just not lose a lot of money. Which is fine, just disappointing.

Mikki was up almost $300k in this game and lost it all back. Can only play like that for so long before it ends horribly for you. Especially showing bluffs like that. People will give up their bankroll for a few minutes of glory with these types of bluffs. Seen it happen many times in my game.

When a player is trying to make a decision for a $150k pot, i don’t want a dealer in my ear. “ 10 seconds!!! time!! “ Once a pot is over like $50k there should be none of this time stuff. I know dealer is just doing her job, but let the guy think, its big money!
