The fours I would have jammed on the turn. With that sizing he is tentative and wants to see what you’ll do. You’re repping the top of your range at that point with a boat (twos full of eights, tens full of eights, etc.), a random set with A8 or even K8 suited, and the like. You’re placing yourself in tough spots by giving your villain space to maneuver. This is why imo you need to be aggressive early position if you do decide to commit to a hand like fours, which are very difficult to navigate in a wet board texture like the one you described.

What I dont get is why are exactly fours a call? Because if they are, why arent the rest of the small pocker pairs a call (In that case than he would be overcaling way too much no?)
