Been looking into the Bronson brand and this review helped seal the deal for me. Didn't even know the Wabash shirt had a windproof collar! Thanks! Gonna be spending next year aboard the schooner Roseway up and down the Eastern Seaboard and the West Indies. So quality, sturdy, value workwear is what I'm looking for and seems to be what Bronson is all about.
Hey! Love your reviews! Just ordered the wasbash shirt from this company on your recommendation. Thanks for the cool vids, they are a real bright spot in the current relative gloom.
I’ve purchased a lot of items from Bronson over the past year. Their quality is quite good for the price. It’s nice to find reproduction Vintage clothing at a price where you are not afraid to wear it. My latest purchase was a M43 field jacket, and its surpasses those of other reproductions currently on the market.
@@JoseRamirez-pl8iq I have just ordered the camo HBT top, and I own the trousers. My previous post was regarding the 43 field jacket, but everything I’ve ordered from Bronson has been top notch.
The extra flap on US military garments was to protect against viscous chemical agents such as mustard gas. It’s very cool that they included this feature in a pair of affordable pants. (These are their version of cut down trousers)
Great review, I received my first purchase from Bronson Mtg,their blue bandana. It's very the quality is very high I look forward to buying more from Bronson.
I own 2 loopweeld shirts from them. One of the best garments i own. I love they have they're own takes on traditional design. That was a refreshing suprice
leaving and working in S.E Asia for over 10 years, have been wearing Bronson Co Mfg. for a while now and to be honest today, I hardly wear anything else, quality, style ... price ..!! just difficult to beat ... I hate to advertise for them because it is becoming more and more difficult to get the size that you want, they seem to get "Sold out' quickly ... but they really deserve it ... and if you can access some Chinese sites, you can really get great deals ... Bronson really grow and develop their own style, for example, the herringbone fabric and style of their A838 fit and feel fantastic, the best in my humble opinion ... Great video on my favorite clothes manufacturer .... +++++
Great review. The measurements at various points across the garment (trousers/ shirt) are most useful and give it an almost tailor made feel. It would be really good if this information was available for everything out there. Could save mega bucks in online returns! Thanks
I agree, I have a decent understanding on how things will fit now that I have some baseline dimensions to work from (taken from my existing wardrobe). So many brands dont feature sizing charts and it is impossible to understand from tag size alone.
Bronson also do some nice retro USAF and navy watch caps (coincidentally the same as the one Paul Kersey wears in Death Wish). I bought a couple and they're great quality, about £20.
Those are super respectable prices for the quality you were showing. I'm going to have to keep an eye on that brand. EDIT: looking at their deck jackets. They even use the old school Talon zippers instead of the typical (but good) YKK. Very nice attention to detail.
Very pleased with what I have had so far, hadnt spotted that on the Jackets, an N1 is definitely on my list, I havent decided where I will get it; Buzz Ricksons, Ironheart or Bronson etc
@@DevonReviewer I really wish I could get my hands on all three to make a decision. But from what I've been looking at online, I suppose it'd come down to either Buzz Ricksons or Bronson (Iron Heart one looks great too, but it's definitely its own thing inspired by the deck jacket, and not quite a repro; which isn't a bad thing, but I prefer how the original deck jacket looks). I like the colors of the khaki Bronson jacket a little more than Buzz, such as the color of the collar and richer looking khaki (which would fade a little over time, I'm sure). From the models/people that are wearing the two, the Bronson one also looks less puffy, making it have a little more of a modern look while keeping the classic feel overall. But the crazy part is that it's *very* much a less costly jacket. Just hard to say if its quality is up to par without having the two here in person.
I have a Bronson N1 deck jacket, it is very good quality but go a size up. The Talon zipper is probably a Chinese knock off. The lining on mine is mostly wool. My son has a top end one Buzz Rickson I think and I prefer mine!
Got curious about this website and bought 2 different tops in XXL Fingers crossed that they'll fit good for big and tall but based on what I saw measurements wise it should be a slight snug but I'm not sure I'm horrible with looking into this sort of thing
Looks great. My only concern really complete lack of knowledge on factory conditions and environmental standards. Does that bleach used to make the wabash lines, for example, go straight into a river when done? The cotton is almost certainly Chinese too. That's why the prices are low supply chains and short, all internal. Which is not necessarily bad, but there is zero transparency. Not that Japanese denim companies are known for being open books, but atleast there you know that Japan has some of the highest environmental standards in the world and good working conditions.
I love Bronson. Have quite a few tshirts, 4 pants, 6 shorts and 2 bombers. Only issue I have is the sizes. So small, and they are not consistent. I have 4 pants with size 38/XXL and they all have different waste measurement.
I was extremely cautious as Bronson is a Chinese company, firstly my concern was the quality, then returns. I have now bought a few items from them as the quality is excellent, I have the wabash shirt and get loads of comments on it, the material is nice and heavy, the stitching and the detail is great with all the stripes lining up perfectly with the seams. I do usually size up with Bronson and Non Stock stuff, I find even after a couple of cold washes the garments shrink a little, although not too badly.
Considering buying the Wabash shirt in size 42 but the bronson website chest measurement (23.6 inch) is very different than what is shown in this video (22 inch). Anyone know how accurate the bronson website measurements are?
I bought a long sleeve Henley style shirt and was very pleased with the quality, but I will warn prospective buyers that the stated size came up waaay smaller than I expected, they are ASIAN sizes. The return cost to China wasn’t worth paying, so I gave it away as a present and ordered an XXL which just about fits but I have to roll up the sleeves to get away with it. I’m 6’3” and around 18 stone.
I'll be looking for more items from this company. Visited their site and no sizes for me. All the XL and XXL are sold out. 6'5 250 requires XL minimum lol
I bought a pair of trousers in November and still haven’t received them, how did you find dealing with them they have not replied. I think they may be dodgy.
You definitely should have received them by now.. I think it took about 14 days for mine to arrive.. they should be responding to emails, pretty sure I asked a couple of questions, they werent quick but they did reply.. how did you pay?
I purchased some selvedge denim jeans from them, they double checked with me on the size measurements and communicated with me every step along the way. They provided tracking for the shipping and it all worked very nicely.
@@DevonReviewer my new favourite is hebtro.co, classic Sunspel (although some is now made in Portugal, wolf in Sheep's clothing, Blackshore made some good demin, PVC for real quality jackets and just bought a real nice jumper from www.peregrineclothing.co.uk/mens
Thanks I will check those brands out. I have followed HebTroCo for a long time, not keen on some of their marketing / branding (especially that "knuckles" logo, feels a little juvenile, they used to have a really nice topographical image) but undeniably a couple of items that look to be good value, especially some of their shirts!
@@DevonReviewer got two of their shirts with just a simple black and white small label and jeans with leather tab too , but i don't really use instagram so might have missed the "knuckles" thing
😆 I get what you mean, but there is plenty of stuff that can be added to your wardrobe in a way that doesnt look like you have got lost on the way to a re-enactment event, ultimately you could take the same view of Buzz Rickson's, The Real McCoy etc
