No, that’s the feedback coil. You need one of its wires and one of the primary (big one) wires in the center. Small one goes on the left hole or right hole and yeah. Same thing with the big wire. Putting both of the thin wires in the center would short the feedback coil which is part of the required circuit
yeah wish i woulda seen this like a week ago. I just got 2 from amazon. one is missing pieces and I haven't tried to put the other one together. Just got them today.

1.) The output current is likely very low, probably less than few mA judging by the intensity of the arc. 2.) The output voltage is coming directly from the transformer.. meaning yes, it is alternating current.
