I used to skate back in the day and remember that Danny Way had set the record back then, something like 20+ years ago. I remember the video where he dropped in from a helicopter. Just checked now and see that he apparently still holds the world record, reaching over 25 feet in 2015.

Back about 1990 Thrasher had an article about Tony Hawk having the highest air, It said he was caught in an updraft, and he aired 32 feet above copping. How they could have measured it I don't know. I think it was part of a skate myth article.

The highest air was from Danny Way, at 25,6ft, in Alpine, California, USA, on 18 July 2015. Hope that helps
