that is because Natthan didnt win, Yuzuru did. At this level failure is not an option the athlete or the coach wants.

Well even Yuzu loses, Orser Wilson and Briand always makes sure that their students are loved, they don't lose confidence.

that’s just how chen’s coach, rafael, is on the exterior. i’ve read enough books and interviews to feel that rafael is very supportive of his students and strives to make them independent individuals. coaches just have different ways of teaching (i have no problem with this as long as they’re not abusive). rafael was impressed here but i’m sure he and nathan were also thinking of what could’ve been if the short program had gone just as well. either way, it’s in the past and nathan has grown because of it. :)

Hanyu will get well soon! Because he is such a nice guy, kind, polit , humble and considerat, with best wishes and blessings from fans, he will be OK 😚

Same here. I never cared really much for figure skating but after seeing this incredible performance I watch it again and again. I'm sure I've watched it more then 10 times now.

No, his last element didn't include the change-foot spin. Otherwise, with the level 4 technique distinction, he could have made a WR. It was beautiful, nonetheless.

He lost a level with his final combination spin going flat on an edge. It's not that uncommon for him to make that mistake (and I say it as his fan, he is my favorite).

R. I love Yuzu but I also know that he got level 3 for his last spin. That's probably the reason he got 1+ mark lower than his world record. Maybe one can argue that he deserved a better PCS, and i actually agree with that. Let's not start a war here. :)

Still its a very high score for a person suffering an injury and taking pain killers.

True I think I see why he got level 3 for his last spin. I am just pissed off by how judges gave their PCS (comparing to how they threw PCS like candies to some other 'medal favourites' lol)
