Never ever send off your good working ecm from an older car. It works. It’s literally priceless.

This man must have a lot of extra time if he's replacing something that ain't even broke

Honestly if more people did preventative maintenance like this their cars would probably last longer

Why do you think a remanufactured ECM will last longer than a factory ECM that has 798k miles? Remanufactured parts are hit or miss at best.

Agreed. Remanufactured ECMs are hits or misses. Eventually, they put out inconsistent signals, especially when I try to get the car SMOG'd. I've gone through many. Too bad GM does not make new ECMs.

That TPI setup is awesome. They’re really proving their longevity and reliability these days.

Does it have the original engine and transmission? I feel like you have the highest mileage vette in the world. What maintenance have you done to get it this far?
@MrCORVETTE1990
@MrCORVETTE1990 4 месяца назад
I took the original engine up to 525k miles. This is the 5th GM crate engine. Original transmission and differential, never been rebuilt.

So you’ve gone through 4 motors in 250,000???

@@MrCORVETTE1990wow 525k miles is insane. How come the crate motors don’t last as long? Are they higher power?

Failed ZZ4 - 40k, L31 - 160K, SP385 1st - 20k, SP385 2nd - 40k. I hope this new L31 gets me to 1 million miles!
