Hey Shweta , wanted to know if companies from these specialization have shortlisting criteria of UG percentage during final placements. I know that low UG percentage will hinder the chances of getting shortlisted by some companies in summer placement, but is it the same during final placements?

Hedge fund, VC and Quantitative Finance has negligible presence in India. Quant roles for GS, MS or JPMC are mostly from IITB,D,M or KGP. And for Hedge fund and VC roles it's only Harvard, Stanford, Wharton or Stern.

Di one important question to asked regarding cat form, i scored 78% in final year, result declared 2 days back and now i want to apply for revaluation as i feel it could take my percentage to 80+. Now the question arises, what should I fill during form filling? If i fill the present one, there there will be no use of revaluation and If i do not fill grads marks, then will that be alright? I need your view regarding this. Not to mention, the revised result will most probably come after mid sept, last date for cat is before that.
You should fill in the marks that you have available, not filling them would not be the right thing to do. I understand that the difference may affect some calls, but you'll have to do well in CAT to compensate that. You can also try reaching out to the official helpline in case there's a better solution.

Hey I'm appearing for Cat 23 and starting preparation from now itself and joined time for CAT classes have started I feel quants is not my cup of tea a bit confusing for me ( I took bio on 12th currently doing bba 2nd year) English is ok DILR is also okish for me please suggest me what to do , should I start prep now if yes where to start like stick to one subject and then clear other or all together ?? Hey! Thank you for such an informational video! I have a small point to make, though you mention HR in you thumbnail..there was literally no discussion about it after you mention how less the offers are. So it kinda didn't help someone like me who wants to specialise in HR and was looking forward to know what the earning potential in this field is. There are institutions that give specialised hr courses like xlri...I am sure they would have placements for this field unlike iima. I would be really grateful if you could make a similar video but with information about HR packages. Thank you 😊

Arts students do get into consulting - and the prior background only helps as many consulting companies look for diverse profiles. Consulting companies look for a balanced profile or spikes in CVs.

Hi Shweta, I think ESOPs should not be considered 1 time payment. Rather we can break it up and divide it in years and add it to the earning potential since ESOPs will mature every year. Say if Amazon offers ESOPs worth 20 lakhs over 4 years, we can tentatively add 5 lakhs to earning potential every year and not consider it as a one time payment
