I love the back story of this beautiful Dutch born Trumpet player. She is quite famous for the piece Il Silenzio (The silence). The men who died liberating Holland in WWII are honoured each year with a concert and the last piece played is aways Il Silenzio and she honours the fallen with her exquisite tallent. Well worth a listen. Il SIlenzio.
I would not dislike it. I can tel the difference between a trumpet and a foghorn leghorn, but I don’t like the vibrato. And I take into consideration the church acoustic. In my opinion it is too much.
@@MrNeonerl Melissa can play, no doubt, but in this particular case she was a) pushing on the low notes in a way that's just not nice and b) this vibrato is typical 1970's UK Brass band style vibrato. Old fashioned and outdated.
Very, very special, girl, now is beautiful woman, but don’t lost your face young girl, first time see Venema was in Andre Rieu show in Amsterdam.Congratulation you is very very nice person.
Highland Cathedral is a popular melody for the Great Highland Bagpipe. This melody was composed by German musicians Ulrich Roever and Michael Korb in 1982 for a Highland games held in Germany. It has been proposed as the Scottish national anthem to replace unofficial anthems Scotland the Brave and/or Flower of Scotland. (There are lyrics for it as well.)
