Highlight • Transistor Ending 

I love this ending and I love Red as a protagonist. There was sooo much misunderstanding of her final actions when the game was released. "She killed herself over a man?" and things like that. Clearly Red tries to restore the world destroyed by the Process, but no one is left. It's JUST her and the data of the people in the Transistor aren't going to be restored. Instead of being a god of a dead world, she very bravely makes the journey into "The Country" and slips into the Transistor. There she is reunited with her love, her voice, and some kind of new life (what exactly that life is, we don't know). Red is a rebel. Her music is said to be defiant and dangerous to the world of Cloudbank. She isn't afraid to do what she thinks needs to be done.

When she finds him, at 2:02, she's start humming Paper boats, "I will always, always find you". I just notice that right now. WOW.

This ending still chokes me up, but god I love Paper Boats as an ending song ❤

Every once in a while i watch people's reaction to this ending just feel something

I'm a 40yo dude. I balled my fuckin' eyes out the first time I played it all the way through. I balled my fuckin' eyes out watching you ball your fuckin' eyes out. I'm gonna go restart it next monday 'cause I haven't played it since the first time at launch, and I'm gonna ball my fuckin' eyes out. That's how you know it's a damn good game. Giant bearded dudes sobbing over their keyboard over a 15h video game like it was Banbi getting shot, what the fuck. Best game ever made. Come at me.

I've been playing computer games for 25 years and thought I'd never get emotionally invested in a games' story again. I'm so grateful Supergiant Games was able to prove me wrong, allow me to share Red's journey and shed a tear at how Transistor *must* end.

It was impossible for me to start it again after that. I'm proud of that this doesn't stop you.

The scene I think is the only instance I spoke out loud when playing a solo game. My words were "No no no no no no no".

Did you catch the fact that in the Recursion mode, Royce says the first line "we are not gonna get away with this", not the Red's beloved? Essentially, it starts and ends the Recursion mode with a Bracket. Anyway, thank you for this geniune reaction. Hope you are doing well!

This game is as beautiful as it's dev team. The peeps at supergiant are simply amazing and I was lucky enough to meet a few including Greg Kasavin and Korb. They just mesh together so well and know exactly what their limitations are and work confidently within those confines. I always knew whatever they touched turned to gold.

Transistor’s story, it’s artwork, gameplay and it’s unexpected ending makes it one of the most memorable games I have ever played.

Such a sincere sweet reaction! Thank you for this. The ending changed my perspective on games entirely. It makes the player understand that they are playing a character, and not as themselves, in a way few games do.

In Recursion, it's Royce voice at the start that says "Hey Red, we're not gonna get away with this, are we ?" instead of Boxer - because he has now also been permanently pulled into the Transistor.

They finally went out to the country.

Damn good game.
