Another question - this macro deletes all the colours that were on the sheet before applying this macro. How can all coloured cells be kept as they were?

@AjayAnandXLnCAD Excelent and nicely explained. One small doubt. if we have a background colour is set in one particular row, or particular cell, while leaving the cell the bacground colour is replaced with none. how do we restore the previous background cell or row/coloumn colour?

I have a conditional formatting to change the color of every other row. This doesn't work on the colored rows. Is there a way to have this over ride the conditional formatting?

This tutorial was extremely easy to follow and very helpful - thanks to @Ajay Anand for posting this!!! That said, it's close to useless as it disables the ability to highlight cells, and also ruins the formatting of any cells you've already formatted. It's also no saved in Excel for previously made documents. To be clear, I'm failing to understand why anyone would want to do this?

How can you apply this only to a table with a "Table Style", in other words, to a table range (which includes a row header with sort buttons) instead of the whole sheet? Also, how to apply it to the Table Style but starting immediately below the row header. I have data with color background above the header of the table and this technique erases all manual cell fill. If this is not possible, then how to make it so it will not clear the pre-existing cell fill colors?

I think you haven't go through the entire video. This particular requirement is explained from 3:13 onwards.
