it's probably the best window effect thx to the focus effect BUT HOOOLY IT IS THE HEAVIEST TO RENDER CACHE TOO. Warning for everyone: if u have ur footage at 60FPS prepare to render cache everything, especially if u trigger that Motion Blur. It's very close to AFX performance but the focus is still worth the slowdown to some extent... still hooolly lol

На самом деле это неудобно. Темплейты имеют худшую производительность чем обычные ноды. Тыкать под вьювером режим оверлея Fusion каждый раз тоже неудобно. Куча этих кастомных настроек - тоже неудобно. Единственный рабочий вариант что я нашёл - это сохранять ноды в виде .settings файла. А потом на нужном видеоклипе дропать этот файл во фьюжн и уже затем редактировать вставленные ноды. Такой способ намного понятнее, чем переключать все эти ползунки. Но этот способ только для тех кто хорошо умеет с фьюжн работать и привык к его нодовой системе.
Bummer!!!! I downloaded it, installed it and I got an offline in the viewer the minute I placed it over an image, I redownloaded it, reinstalled it and even restarted DR and the computer and still says offline and yes I tried the smart and user cashe, of no avail. I have installed dozens of drfx files from other creators and have had no issues. Too bad I really love your preset, can you give me any advise on what I can do please, thanks. PS: I am using DR Studio 18.04 build 5, could this be the issue, does it only work on 18.1 and up??
@@kimdix5293 Actually! Now that you mention it, it does need to be at least 18.1 I believe. That's when they added the feature allowing you to grab media from below a Fusion composition. My recommendation would be to update to a newer version

Awsome tool. But when I change timeline proxy from full to half or quarter, the frame I made jumps to an other point some where else, going back to full will give to right framing again. Request: Is it possible to add CORNERRADIUS?
Unfortunately it is not possible. The closest thing would be using power bins. If you have the highlight effect and add sound effects, select all the clips and link them. The drag that into the power bins and you should have a version with sound effects
@@JakeWipp Yes, unfortunately. I do not understand it either. Everything works fine in a 4k timeline, but not in a 1080 timeline. I would like to send you a screenshot.
Hi, I solved the problem. The error occurs (for me) only when the Timeline Proxy Resolution is set to "Half". Otherwise everything is fine, solut ingenious tool! Of course I will buy a coffee :)

@@JakeWipp Wheter I choose full / half or quarter proxy resolution, the error media red window is shown over the effect zoom overlay, on display. 18.02. Studio version :( didn't helpt me to resolve the issue
Hey Jake, thanks for this cool preset! I have a question regarding Motion Blur. At 4:18 you say it's only gonna render motion blur for the animation part and not the stationary frames in between. Could you share how you achieved that? I built a customisable Text Animation preset but it is slows my computer way down bc it seems to calculate motion blur for the entire clip even though there only is movement at the beginning and end. I would appreciate if you could share your secret on that front.
Hi Steve, great question! It's a really simple concept actually. Pretty much you want to use a dissolve node set up to switch between inputs if it is animating (animation window) or if it's not. In the one animation input you have a version that has motion blur and in the other you have a version that does not. Definitely try it out and let me know if you have any questions!
@@drafeirha the expressions aren't a one solution meets all. If you used keyframes in your preset the best way would be to use keyframes on the dissolve node. This preset has no keyframes and a bunch of expressions that work together to create the animation
Awesome effect, but quick question. Is it possible to highlight multiple things at the same time? Like I can't figure it out if there is a way, but I want to highlight two individual sections of my screen with two separate effects, whichever one is on top will dominate the other and blur it. Is is possible to combine them or something?
Nice one. But if you excuse me to be picky, you could add an item/border highlight too, and with controls change the color of the highlight to show what control/item you are focusing on like you did on the video, but with a border color.
