Decided to take the Minnesota for a spin in ranked for some dumb reason, ended up working better than expected. Ranked is so dumb though. Discord: / discord Stream: / flamuu Insta: / flamugram Twitter: / flamuchz
Don't bring Minnesota or Kansas to ranked please, ty. Also having the music excluded from the VOD makes the chat on screen so weird KEKW Discord: discord.gg/Flamu Stream: www.twitch.tv/flamuu Insta: instagram.com/flamugram/ Twitter: twitter.com/flamuchz
Chat still spams pasta faster than the window can keep up. Collectively, twitch chat smashes keyboards quicker than the eye can see. And they even sneak in emojis, it's impressive!
Have seen players bringing a Schultz to ranked and ending up being 1st of the winning team (and they were not even well known Super Unicums as far as their stats could tell). Me thinking that it is still more important who sits behind the keyboard. Personally need a Jean Bart or Georgia to end up being 1st and only a few times.
"Why does angling do nothing in this ship?" Because you can't angle a circle, Flamu. Just... look at the Minnesota, pretty sure the beam is wider than most cruisers are long, its FAT AF.
An Admiral like Kuznetsov with his biggest accomplishment being "saving the fleet from destruction" aka staying in port for four years is super op. Entertaining.
Yes it happened alot.. I couldnt get more then 1 or 2 hits on stationary cruisers.. But I honestly think the games aim assist is completely bugged and I never hear or see a video about it.. I always aim a bit higher cause im afraid all the shells will hit the water.. Its stupid, you aim perfect for citadel you hit the water with 11 shells.. You aim to high you overpens and shatters on turrets.. Aim in the middle and suddenly your despersion goes over and under!! Its for real bugged
@@terkbro1087 at first i grind to Vermont and next to Kurfürst. It was hell. only line i had fun with was the american Cruiser Line (Des Moines and Worcester)
There's also the fact that Sinop has 406 mm guns while Caracciolo has only 381s. And also better damage con, meaning it uptiers much better. So I'd argue, even without Kuznetsov, Sinop is better.
@@martinpalmer6203 Stats are a terrible argument. First, because (EU) only 300k battles were played on Caracciolo, while 2,3 million - on Sinop. So the data is not really comparable as new ships tend to have slightly higher stats in general. But even then, it does not support your theory, as Sinop has higher damage per battle in all ranges and only lower winrate when we look at top 5% (74,7% to 74,4%). Yes, the penetration is 50-60 mm better at almost all ranges (which is not really much tbh). But the reason why 16 inch guns are much better is the overmatch, which Caracciolo lacks. This is more than enough to call Sinop's guns better. Especially, in the current horrible T7 MM. Yes, it is more manoeuvrable but also more vulnerable. So while it can disengage easier, Sinop often times doesn't need to disengage at all. Also, about tanking capabilities, it's worth noting that Sinop has 2/3 of its firepower on the bow while Caracciolo - only 1/2. Not only can Sinop hold positions better, it can also deal more damage in the meantime. So... nope, Sinop is still better, sorry.
8 381mm rifles with god-awful flukey accuracy vs 9 406mm rifles with passable accuracy - not even a contest. Sinop also has a better damage control and non-existent superstructure to better stand against HE spam, has better firing angles, and has more guns bow-forward for when you have to angle tank. Add on Sinop having 10k more health and a better rudder plus the potential for the hideously OP Kuznetsov captain makes it even more lopsided. Caracciolo doesn't compare at all.
In Ranked, even more at the beginning of the season, i experience the condensed potato-community of this game. Yesterday i went 7:0 with the Sinop by just not failing. People stop broadside in the middle of the map, torp teammates, shoot AP for minutes at the same angled BB or just don't ever take a cap.
13:36 - YAAAAAASSSS!!! Ok good, so it's not just me then who's noticed with the new USN BB line that the much larger and fatter superstructures are seemingly allowing for many more full pens.
Honestly, I just build my Minnesota and use her like a T9 California playstyle-wise and it works well enough. Then again, I've played California extensively, so I'm strangely used to it lols!
@@lightningstrike5024 Minnesota is really bad. Basically a giant floating citadel in a game where armor does fuck-all unless you're in a Stalinium Cruiser/BB.
@@atmosdwagon4656 well its citadel is below waterline, it has 38mm plating which is normal for usn bbs, it has pretty hefty broadside and it can use t9/10 usn bb dispersion mod and has good aa for a bb
LightningStrike 502 nah geogia and iowa have the same 38 mm armor and underwater citadel but can still go 32knt . Minne jave a hefty broadside but terrible reload kill it .
Lol I am struggling to get past bronze because well, win one or two games then loose the rest. I've been back and forth between rank 5 and 4 at least 3 times
You're not the only one dude, me and my clan mates, all good players getting 2+ kills a game basically rage quit from ranked dumb plays yesterday. I had games where I stopped 3 people pushes with torps only for my team to push in and die, it's infuriating.
That's the reason for me to buy the Pommer. The ship is really a "mini-kurstfurst" on tier 9. And sometimes people don't know they can launch torpedos. I killed several CCs when they try to neak up for a citadel hit on my sides just with torps.
I'm not surprised, I've seen so many horrifying potato teams is not even funny. Atlanta and Fijis who don't know what Island cover is, Z-31 that think just because there's no radar he can cap... The list is endless
At 10km? Did that to a broadside Seattle in less than 4km... FdG is for masochists... Right after that ''battle'' I just free exp-ed and that was my ONLY time I did that and I am here since beta! That's how bad, pardon, ''fun and engaging'' FdG is. Gneisenau has better dispersion at 16km than what FdG has at 3km but the later is t9, logic.
@@jaywerner8415 none. you get slightly more alpha and pen at the cost of reload, 420 don't pass a significant overmatch threshold (divide caliber by 14.3 to get overmatch value)
3. 04 , what if ship a has a farmer at the helm . i thought lower teir ranked would be good idea on sea , and it is from the point of view that teir ten radoms is not to bad for now
Minnesota is one of my top pics for Ranked. It is incredibly powerful, pretty tanky & even relatively stealthy. Its slow, but thats genuinely its only true downside IMO.
That FDG could have helped finish the match a long time ago, yet he was one of the main reasons it was almost lost... So many horror stories in ranked... Totally inexperienced players bringing not fully researched ships without trained commanders is also very common. WG's playerbase: Salem with about 25k matches asks "what's the difference between a Des Moines and a Salem", he ends up being first blood at about 3 min in the match, his overall winrate 38%....
WG's , make all their money from from new player's , another way to get some good match making is to rage quit and go play another game , they can see what you play in discord . the next day i get good match making
"if Ship A can have Kuznetsov and ship B can not have Kuznetsov , then Ship A is fucking better" said a wise man wile playing Minasota in ranked. Oh flamu please never change.
Heh, you should see all the z-31's in Bronze. I'm convinced that the average player just associates new ships with OP, which isn't a bad assumption to make nowadays but with Germans they should really know better.
Don't think so. Many people are now grinding there ships in Ranked. They don't care about winning. German DD's are the newest line so they take them to Ranked just like some do with the Italian and latest US BB's. Ranked games usually take less time than Random and give you similar XP. Downside of this is that the number of idiots in your team determines if you win or loose, not the number of good players. They can not make up for the stupidity of the potatoes (no offence).
@@johnvdk9936 hit the nail on the head . we need a win only game mode . i spoted 6 ships in a dd for 1000 spotting damage . my team were behind islands
sinop caracciolo discussing. I would agree, that the C is quite strong, even though its italian, but sinop does have a higher caliber, is way more tanky, B E T T E R dispersion,....
wow that chat spam is annoying. Ya the American DREADNAUGHT line has very WIERD armor. Like due to the roundness of some of the plate angling is actually kinda bad, also doesn't Minnesota's torp belt go ALL THE WAY UP THE SHIP unlike Kansas? So in theory the Enemy gets a bunch of torp protection hits. Plunging fire also really sucks due to how thick all the plating is.
