@@btspavedthewaythefact157 Exactly; a lot of people with social anxiety and depression mask it by overcompensating and acting really energetic and cheerful. We can't know exactly why, but it's likely his current way of being is much closer to his actual personality. I'm just glad he's healthier and happier :) (there might be other factors at play too, such as the fact that now we tend to see them more on western shows where they have to speak English, which could be making him more reserved as he's not as confident when speaking English)

He's said he used to try to seem more outgoing and happy because he thought that's how people would like him

he said on a bts festa (I think it was the 2018 one) that he thought he had to Play a funny and talkative character to be liked by fans and that now he's more like himself... I think he's still very funny and has a great personality, I like his humour very much
