HIGHLIGHTS: 2018 Super Rugby Week 16: Highlanders v Hurricanes 

To summarise ten minutes of pissing around on the Officials' behalf: there was a heap of Hurricanes errors leading up to the try, so they went back to that tackle from Squire, which everybody had witnessed being followed up by a punch from Savea (including some of the Officials), but because it wasn't caught on camera they couldn't do anything to Savea for it, so they stuck with carding Squire and it pissed everybody off. The play following this resulted in a number of handbags being thrown around by both teams as well. Then the flow of the game switched entirely to the Highlanders' favour - likely motivated by how pissed off they and the crowd were at that incident. So if anything that card was what won the game for the Highlanders.

Gumdrops Gumidy 15 points or so isn't a thumping.. Pretty sure the canes won last time too

Yep Canes won 29 - 12 last time. We called that a 'thumping' then, so this is a 'thumping' now.

The Hurricanes seemed lost in the game. Perenara was totally out of focus.

Crusaders were just too hard - he was allowed a break there but now getting snubbed from the ABs has taken away his x factor and "anything is possible" attitude.

Watch it at half speed, was great acting. Sopoaga was legit down on the ground and past him when he dives forward trying to milk the penalty. Even so, the officials were terrible, which is normal for NZ officials.

Also for that quick-throw, the ball technically touched the board at the edge of the field, so was out of play. But of course they should've been playing to the whistle.

Thought Ben Lam was known for scoring tries in the corner. Either way BB should be missing a few on purpose to keep statistics from ruffling feathers.

He didn't get taken out though. He took a dive, even managed to make contact with Bender, but for some reason didn't complete the tackle. Sopoaga was obliged to run back as he was offside. That's the law of the game. Jordie then made a sudden turn in front of him, so he dove in order to give Jordie a clear shot at Bender, which he blundered.

It also looks like the forward who missed his tackle on Bender as well tripped Sopoaga up, so yeah dude, not gonna count as obstruction. Take the L.

I'm sure the TMO would've reviewed it. They had a bit of a delay before the kick where Shields was hounding the ref and I guarantee if the TMO saw anything he wanted the ref to see, he would've shown him.

The tmo cant intervene unless its dangerous play by one of the teams so the ref would have had to choose to ask him. I just think it is interesting how some things get checked whereas others dont.
