HIGHLIGHTS: All Blacks v British & Irish Lions First Test (2017) 

The All Blacks game plan was incredible - watching them play is always like watching a one person team. They link up amazingly and constantly drive forward, exploiting mistakes. Gutted about the result but when you're playing the All Blacks it's a different vibe.

An absolutely awesome Lions try. The usual supreme All Blacks performance. Excellent test, more of the same next week please lads!

Lions did provide a good challenge - their first try was a beaut and the second shows they were in the game until the end. The ABs chose to play them at their own game of tight forward phases while preventing the Lions from doing so and it did the trick.

I have to say as an All Blacks fan, well done the Lions. The score doesn't reflect how well the Lions played for the first 55 minutes, playing great counter attack rugby but were unlucky not to score some. Williams, Te'o, Murray and Davies were playing out of there minds. But just like the match against Samoa, the flood gates open up and more tries came through from brilliant attack from the All Blacks. Can't wait for the next test match because this test match was entertaining.

I'd be honest, I didnt expect the Lions to put up such a contest in the first half, really exciting rugby that I have not seen in awhile.

Waiting for that one lions supporter who kept commenting lions were going to destroy the all blacks....

I'm a Lions fan, but you just have to admire this All Blacks team. Kieran Reid is perhaps the best No. 8 I have ever seen. He is robust, powerful, has great workrate, hands and decision making. He is incredible. This game did not unfold like I thought it would. I thought the Lions would edge it up front but that the All Blacks would score tries out wide and take their chances. To see the possession and territory stats being so lop sided and get beaten up front is worrying for the Lions. I'd perhaps get Itoje on for new week as a starter. Well done the All Blacks! The Lions must win next week....can they? I always thought this series would be 2-1 to the All Blacks with the game going to the last test. We shall see. Sometimes when teams have to win, they do.

Ioane keep his head and take those opportunities! didn't have to field as many high kicks as he might have but Izzy Dagg was taking them beautifully on both sides of the field! their performance bodes well for a 3-0 victory but not for Julian Savea taking the record of Dougie Howlett

All blacks too good in the tight but how bloody good was that try. Best try scored against us in a while. They created many opportunities but ultimately didn't convert enough of them. I still say that Itoje + Warburton (your tour captain) need to start especially Itoje. No point bringing them on for impact when your already losing by 20. The good thing is the lions were in the match for 60+ minutes. The bad news is this All Blacks team lost their starting fullback and centre after 20 minutes and the lions couldn't take full advantage of it and still got comprehensively beaten.

Credit to the Lions for making this a proper game. Been too long since NZ were actually challenged.

All black supporter here, but you got to admit though the lions played a very good game here. Few try opportunities missed that could've made them win or even the score 32-32 who knows but they did real well, glad the all blacks won though :D so I'm looking forward to the next match :)

Lions had me pretty damn nervous for a while there. Don't think the ABs are used to teams scoring tries against them like that Williams break. Throwing it around, running it. Great game, hope the Lions still have a few tricks in the bag for the second test. Almost feel they let this one slip out their hands in a way.

All Blacks surely got behind the Lions defensive line, thanks to Brodie the Dinosaur T-RETALLICK smashing his way through like a T-REX! Moody, Taylor & Frankie boy had a solid game. Our loose forwards Kaino, Cane and Captain Read doing what they BEST.. Aaron the NINJA Smith back to his best. Sonny Bill running straight at them, I'm sure he was feeling the pain, getting crunch. Dagg was awesome.. And Reiko Ioane! man, the BLUES EXPRESS!!! The BUS will be parked up for now Julian Savea.

54 min performance by the Lions.They did well to make a game of it,but to much class from the All Blacks.The Lions got smashed in the forward battle ,Brodie Retallick aka Gregor Clegane once again showing he is without a doubt to best second rower in international rugby.

Having watched the full game, the ref did miss about 5 forward passes by the All Blacks.

dont get me wrong i love Kieran reads game and he is a good player but i miss richies leader ship when i saw read with his hands on his knees and smith had the ball looking to tap and go thats one thing richie made sure he never did he would always be up and never show tiredness as a player thats what motivates you to work that bit harder...

Before the AB supporters get to carried away. This is not an international test match it's a scratch team of four nations playing against the best team in the world at the moment. A truer comparison between the Northern and Southern Hemispheres would be the international test matches this year . Looking at the latest series of results the North are slightly ahead. My unbiased answer the Lions winning the next test is to get a bit more Welsh magic into the match day squad.

Read, retalick, williams, dagg and smith were bloody amazing this entire game. Was expecting this to be a barrett show but i guess not everyone can be dan carter lol Y'all can say what you want about Smith as a halfback and kiss perenara's ass but Smith will always be ahead. He showed it many times in this game.
