Again, the finishing was ruthless in some of those goals. Chaplin's goal from the left into the roof of the net was top-quality, Mowatt's FK was delicious. I'm left scratching my head at the defending in perhaps 2 of their goals. It still looks a little like children playing football for the first time at times, naively chasing where the ball rather than anticipating, but no absolute howlers, stuff that I think can probably be coached to these young defenders. Maybe QPRs 1st goal was an overall howler by us. I heard a lot about QPRs Eze who didn't do much, he started the move that got them their 2ns, that was about it. Our mistake-heavy defence did well to keep him quiet, he's going to be a star some day at a Tottenham or a West Ham. Special mention for Jacob Brown who might not get many of the mentions but played key roles in a couple of the goals there, with good work down the right in very little space in Barnsley's 1st goal, good running and making something happen in Barnsley's 3rd. I tipped him to end up in the Premier League one day when he burst onto the scene after Potts left. Don't make me a liar, lad.

This kind of result has been coming we've been so unlucky for about our last 5 or 6 games now obviously not this and Hull. If we get some experience in defence come January then I'm confident also need to keep Woodrow because him and Chaplin could be ruthless the more they play together. I think Diaby and Andersen will shine too they show glimpses of what they can do but they're still a little young and inexperienced but like I said I do think they'll shine they just need some more experience and if we do sign defenders in Jan they'll learn off them. Absolutely fantastic though boys! COYR!
Barnsley are a proper honest football club. Shame they seem to struggle in the championship but too good for league 1. Certainly did not struggle in this game though!
