If a player is sent off for DOGSO (Denying an Obvious Goal-Scoring Opportunity), the standard punishment is a straight red card, but the suspension is typically for just one match.
If you want to talk about noise pollution talk about Emery's over hyped kids, lucky win vs Bayern, kept singing all week how they were going to beat United, only to draw blanks. L.O.L
@@Trending_News_Kenya It's not a UCL, it's a European cup 1980. It's like how Arsenal has 13 league titles but only 3 are Premier League. So Villa have never won the UCL, INFACT they have been out of Europe so long the competition changed NAMES AND FORMAT L.O.L
You lot were gonna get cooked anyway even with a full squad. Get those invincibles posters out, and pictures from that FA cup, it's gonna be ok Gooners, we have bigger fish to fry 😂😂😂
Mistakes happen, no questions that was a red card and a pen. We were just lack of creativity without Odegaard and Saka even before the red card. If there's any good time to give the young Nwaneri a start and prove himself, this should have been the one.
How is it a red if the player is offside ??? It's a red if he's on the line with the players but Evanilson is literally infront, along with Semenyo, our backline.
@@sloht4061the attacker can't be offside on a back pass. Watch the replay again. I'm a die hard Gooner since the David Seaman and Tony Adams era but be rational.
@@deslee2035 really ? I'd assume he would still be offside. If that was the case, why don't every single team just keep a man upfront and offside, put pressure and wait for the panicked back pass ??
@@sloht4061 First, most teams usually defend with 11 (ST apply pressure to CB) and attack with 10(CB almost at the halfway line). If the striker stands way up front in an offside position that would make himself irrelevant to the defensive structure and create more space for the other team overload or simply dribble into the heart of your defense and get your teammates out of position. Second, imagine your defenders got the possession of the ball and looking for a outlet to pass the ball upfront but you are miles offside.... Your manager would sub you off in the 5th min of the game if you do that as a ST.
Arteta stubborness... he will never bring epl title to north london. he doesnt have clinical strikers. this is not arsenal i know growing up. we were dull. gunners with out explosions
This makes no sense. They weren't deployed as centre-backs. It's the same with the middle, that's a dynamic 3 that will often shift position depending on the situation. These players can all play at least 3 positions at this level. Lineups aren't static like you see on a website or in FIFA, especially not Arsenal's.
@@sigfigronath It's the same thing there. DM is just a role. They weren't all deployed to play as DM's and all three can play as more traditional CM's. You might say a player is more defensively minded or has defensive qualities but if I put a player at the top of a mid 3 and ask him to do another role (that he's just as capable of doing and does do) he's not playing as a DM.
Yellow card was the correct decision. Howard Webb saw fit to change that. As Ocean says, same thing happened in the Liv V Che games, but only a yellow card and no upgrade. Incompetence or corruption? You decide.
This game is on Arteta. Starting 3 DMs and expects us to be creative? This was the perfect game to debut Nwaneri but once again Arteta doesn’t trust the youth. Trossard should’ve came off instead of Sterling, he had a shocker while Sterling was our only real threat going forward. Absolutely pathetic, if we want to win the title we can’t play like this again.
Yes..the online gurus that always think they know better & are smarter than the actual manager. Yet, ask them what routine they did in training over this week only & they wouldn't have a single clue cause they were never there. But somehow, they always know better than the manager of whom to pick. I am not even an Arsenal fan but no matter how smart/better you think you are, you don't expect to win all games & not make mistakes Mr. Perfect. And to be honest, I don't think Arteta expected anything from 'you' in particular 😅. The kind of fans who are the first to say "..we bought whoever.." but when things hit the fan, it shifts to a blame game & it's no longer "we made an error...".
What do you expect ? They had 5 first teamers out and that's their team. Odegaard and Ethan are the only CAM players they have. Jorginhio is also a DM. I dont get this idea that they have any choice. Those are the only senior players who are fit.
@@sloht4061who are the 5 first teamers missing? maybe arteta should’ve respected bournemouth some more and had Saka playing instead of resting him for Europe
Now every arsenal game i will pray, atleast finish with 11 players 😢😢. We were doing so good before that red card then everything fell apart. Trossard was just having a bad day lets not gang up on him. But we do need more depth in the squad especially at that LW
this is typical Arsenal, we go for international breaks or we have injuries or better yet just holidays and when we come back this is what happens, honestly this game reminded me of the Aston Villa match in April. 2 things that need to be addressed 1. we need depth in the squad, competition for positions, men should know l can't relax l have to be at it week in and out 2. we need back ups for our starting 11, men we can depend on to at least give 70-80 what the starting 11 gives when one of then needs to rest or has an injury the squad has grown and is still is, Arteta is doing a great job honestly but, there is still a lot of work to be done if we have even a chance for the title
"fans" like you are the problem. There's a reason arteta is where he is and you are the typical keyboard warrior. Last week you were singing his name, now you're saying his stubborn, next week you'll say he's better than Wenger. Be a fan or be gone. Support city or united, seems to suit you well
@@MartenTollfans like me what have I stated that is untrue we have lost unnecessary points from the red cards , we needed a creative player on the field the league is won by margins and we might already be cooked
@@MartenTollnah he is right. Its fans like him who are realistic. Do you think Arsenal is going to win anything like that? Its probably a good 2nd grade team
this season Arsenal have made a two two draw through physicality and performance and showed how angry they are from last season but unfortunetely they earn points from the hardest and drop points to the easiest a bit like united
Not too long ago The arsenal fans were singing praises to ben white for his tomfoolery which went unpunished and lots of tactical fouls too, to the point of labeling it dark arts FC. Well, the league and refs have caught up! Silly and unfair tackles will be punished!!!!!
@@DuncanGacheru well just few hours ago Chelsea made the same foul as Saliba and didn't get red card, so the refs is part of the problem, but doesn't change the fact that Arsenal keep making stupid mistakes
ARTETA MUST make a serious psychological work with his players. When I said ARTETA's approach at City on defending wasn't good, some people criticized me, but I was right. A day would come in matches vs lower teams or at home, and ARSENAL would be on pressure to attack creating some open spaces. That is what happen today. That is why I do enjoy to watch ManCity playing, because home or away the only thing they know is to attack...attack and attack, even costing them some losses.
Having the ball and passing it side to side is not attacking lol. Pep still plays very low-risk football by defending WITH the ball. Pep himself would call his style as one of the most defensive itl
i dont think he did tbh, if anything he was too cautious. how can he underestimate bmouth if he starts 3 mostly defensive midfielders, the only "weak" link was sterling and that was because of sakas injury
Bro our creativity is too poor, he should have used double quiver such as joghino and rice and put trossard in midfield den start martinelli at wing... Wats d need of using merino, partey and rice... I can still play nwaneri at Saka wing... Wats all this nonsense... Arteta is quite crazy
I wonder why people don't usually usually the number 9 problem that will ail us for the rest of the season.I know it may not be relevant in this situation but trust me Havertz is not good at that position. He lacks dribbling skills and pace.I am a die hard Arsenal fan but truth be told that we will never win any serious cup with Haverts as our main man upfront.I prefer Jesus upfront. What does Arteta really see in this Havertsz that we dont usually see.Even when the lad is not playing Arteta will still play him 90 minutes.Wish we gave Unai time and the money coz we gave him none yet we expected him to perform.I wish Havertz gets injured for the rest of the season so that we may play Jesus or go for a natural number 9
Saturday October 19, 2002 : Tomasz Radzinski and Wayne Rooney scored for Everton to inflict a first league defeat on Arsenal and end their unbeaten run in February of that year. Saturday October 19, 2024 : 22 years later, Arsenal finally taste league defeat at the hands of Bournemouth for the second time in 6 years and finish with 10 men for thr third time this sesson. A date that is very synonymous.
Martinelli is a wonderful player but I think his level is beneath Arsenal. We need to move pass him. We need someone more prolific than him. My humble opinion
Agreed, He should move to Saudi or something..So is Havertz just 40% better than Timo Werner .No serious coach will win league with him, even Germany 🇩🇪 do not know what to do with that guy, but have to play him cos he is living of that Leverkusen good season and media hope one day he will burst with skill or something..This could be Arsenal's last season above Liverpool and Chelsea.
You say this but... given the last 2+ decades what does 'beneath arsenal' mean? We aren't the best in England, we aren't the best in Europe and we certainly arent the best in London (Overall), admittedly. There is a huge chance given our luck, and 'past' Chelsea might win a trophy before us. Martinelli is not beneath Arsenal. As fans, as a team, for our players... Everyone needs to step up. None of our players in the proper starting XI deserve less. They are there for a reason, helping us achieve what we haven't been able to for the past 20 years. Teams lose, players get injured, players make mistakes. It happens. Martinelli is probably the only player that's willing to play for the badge except Saka and NOT get pulled away by money, or reputation of another club. He loves Arsenal as much as us fans, because this club got behind him when he was down. Stay true to him. He will deliver. We are not Madrid. We are not City. We are not Bayern. As of the last 2 decades we don't have the right to say that our most loyal player is beneath us.
@@qlmnauyjvewrh1542 no need to go back and forth on this. It was my opinion. I feel Arsenal need player like Rafael Leao type of player on the left wing and a tanker of a striker ( no.9 )
Im sorry, I dont see it as a red card, he barely touched him. Yellow was enough. Also what is a problem with some comments here, mistakes happen. We need to stay strong and continue, remember that season is long. Mikel should start Nwaneri btw! He is good.
