Cape Verde surprised me with their play in all matches, with high technical players, very good ball control, short passes, poise and heaviness on the field, as if they were a big team.

Idk how some Egypt fans feel but going forward in this tournament they need to change their goalkeeper he’s been costing them he can’t hold on to the ball or save shots cause if Ghana didn’t draw they could have been knocked out
I'm very impressed with Egypt going forward as I see them one of the best teams in the tournaments despite drawing all 3 games... Egypt always come to life in the knockout stages and if they can sort out thier suspect defence they can actually go far in this tournament despite loosing Mo Salah... One thing that will actually help Egypt in forthcoming games is the injury to thier main keeper who has been disasterous and with Abu Gabal taking the helms I believe thier defence will change dramatically especially Abu Gabal was one of the key reasons they reached last AFCON final
The local players, especially midfielders Asour and Attia, are great, but Egypt’s problem is in defense. Cape Verde was also good, but possession was Egypt’s and Cape Verde played on the counter. I hope they are a good and consistent team. Egypt must work on training to finish chances well.
