OKEECHOBEE, Fla. - It was a tight race to the finish during the Championship Round on Lake Okeechobee. Check out some of the highlights from the final round of the Bass Pro Tour Favorite Fishing Stage Two Presented by Bass Cat.
That “Official” hence forth known as Stevie Wonder, is a complete A hole. You must be CERTAIN when calling a foul, you can’t just guess. Too much on the line. Jacob you handled that like the PRO you are. You done your Dad proud.
When MLF started, I wasn't a huge fan of the style. I was so used to the 5 fish limit, I didn't like the cumulative weight limit. Over the years it's grown on me. Not simply because of the excitement, but also because they take the care of the fish into consideration. I can't stand when Bassmaster guys slam their fish on the deck. The catch and release is great too. It gives the fish the least amount of stress. It's also been much better with heavier weight limits on the lake. It's much more fun than watching guys finding dink city and weighing in a bunch of 1 pounders. I also dig all of the coverage and longer tournaments. I get to watch a decent amount of each day. It's definitely my new favorite pro circuit!
DrZoo the two tournaments so far this year have been so much better than last year with the increase to a two pound minimum. I couldn’t stand watching the pros fishing finesse presentations to catch 50 1-1.5 lb bass. They are swinging for the fences like a 5 fish tourney but every fish counts. It’s so much better to watch.
Can’t say I like the tie-break rule. Most fish!?! No! Big fish should be the determining factor. I give more kudos to a dude catching a six-pounder than the guy with three twos.
first of all i havent figured out where to watch it. and also after 2 years of watching what i can on you tube i cant figure out the stages . its all mixed up on you tube . can you watch live on mlf website?
Props to Jacob Powroznik for the way he handled that crap call. Was at least half a foot from the deck. Definitely didn't touch the carpet. Dude's a stick, and a class act.
That fish did not hit the carpet!!! This was the best final round to date with the Tharps run then Neals run wheelers big move then out of nowhere comes Jacob P to seal the deal. My only complaint was I was at work and couldn’t watch it all go down.
I was wanting wheeler to win but since I heard that is the place where Jacob powroznik and his father fished at before he died I thank God he won the tournament because he deserved it I'm so happy for him and people say God doesn't exist he cares about his people and he is the reason he won this tournament
It's exclusive to MLF rules. The rule is there because hitting the carpet removes their slime coat. There is another two minute penalty if they don't release the fish below the gunwhale of the boat. I am all for it because not only does it protect the fish, but it adds another competitive element to the sport.
The Grind is everyday..... Hardworking people and passion makes the world great. Make homelessness a crime and welfare something you have to earn. Make America great again 👍
Whoever the blind/lazy marshal was shouldn't ever be used again. Either he had it out for Jacob or wasn't paying attention. It didn't even come close to touching the carpet. Pathetic.
I cant believe all of these big names left to do this! Its Okeechobee and we are targeting 2 pounders? Where is the incentive to find 5 good bites? This is just flat stupid.
I don't know man. It's more exciting catching as many as you can as opposed to 5 best. Plus it's better for the fish being out of the water a minute and dropped right back in at home instead of getting released later from the weigh in spot.
IM going to say that the last few championships from flw and Bass have sucked, cant even finish the last day coverage! Next, Im going to say, Isnt it funny that the biggest fish and bags were caught years ago?!!!! That my friend is the absence of fish conservation and the ability to control what happens to your catches during a whole day on the water. You want to see big bass and at the same time you are giving them a death sentence! Look up the statistics and see for yourself, You are not preserving the sport you love! Finally some of these professionals get it and are full on board! You should seriously rethink!
@Hollywood T How and just like that fish didn't hit the carpet and he got penalized for it. The absolute only way they should be penalized is after it touches the fishermen hands or if the whole fish/ falls on the boat floor. Just the tail touching the carpet isn't hurting the fish.
OMG THANK GOD ALL THAT IS FINISH BECAUSE THEY NEED TO GO BACK HOME. TOO MANY PEOPLE HERE IN CLEWISTON FLA ALREADY. I HOPE TODAY WAS THE LAST DAY. PUFFFFFFFFFFF.
You should be thankful they come. That's what keeps that little town afloat, fisherman. And if you don't like fishing you're in the wrong place I believe.
Adrenaline and fishing on the final day, for a lot of money will have your brain going a million miles an hour. Jacob P even admits it IN THIS VIDEO. If you all can't understand this, then you've never been in this position and thus shouldn't be judging. Don't like it, don't watch. It really is that simple.
So HOW DO REFS GET VIOLATIONS for BAD CALLS MLF? Should be FIRED. DID NOT TOUCH CARPET FOR PROZ. I HAVE SEEN SLIGHT TOUCHs YOU CALL IT WITH NOTHING.. BS..
