Being in that stadium and witnessing that win is a moment I will never forget. I dreamt for years for a hometown football club, and Charlotte has the energy, atmosphere, and passion that made me fall in love with the sport. Incredible night
Brother, I am right there with you! I've been to both home games, and I loved every minute of it. And to be there for our first historic win as a team! Agreed, I will never forget this!
My my my CHARLOTTE CHARLOTTE!!! That was an EXHILARATING GAME! & I'm not in Charlotte heck not even in the Carolinas but I am Rooting for you man! Loved the Team Chemistry! The feistiness! The relentless offensive! Taking on the pressure like a pro! Not a dull minute in the entire match! Absolutely PHENOMENAL CONGRATULATIONS CHARLOTTE! On the edge of my seat for the entire 90! This club is definitely going places! An engaged coach, an engaged team with a never give up attitude and some good ol half field to half field football with a great crowd to boot! Wish you great luck this season! ...Also because my Inter Miami sucks so much A$$ (bottom of the East) and I'm not gonna root for my Florida rival so hey why not show the Carolina Underdogs some love. Srly though what an over hyped meme'd dumpster fire my club is.
Thanks for the positive comments! You're always welcome to join our fanbase! Hopefully you'll get a chance to come up to Charlotte when we play Inter Miami! If you do, hit him up. I'll give you all the best places to stay, eat, etc while you're in town! High Five and big hugs to you fussball bro!
Great to see the sport growing with such enthusiasm! MLS is unstoppable if this momentum continues. Let the haters hate we have our own thriving league.
The one thing I love about the MLS is that there is no set team that will win each year it's a toss up rather than in English Premier League you know who is gonna be top 5. Thats what I think we all love about the MLS.
@@no_username4520 It’s great because you can enjoy both. I love PRO/REL but I love Parity. Most of all with the MLS rising in quality I love that there’s basically No Offseason as a Soccer fan each year.
@@lv1810 It’s kinda funny you say that cause that’s one reason that I love soccer on tv in general but I was watching a YT video of football players just standing around cause they were in commercial break.
@@kedarragbar8443 Thank you for the kind words! Our team has slowly made improvements over the last few weeks. I'm so proud to see our team starting to come together! I can't wait to see what we do the rest of the season!
@@PDohm123 Yes they will be very competitive against the seasoned MLS clubs .And who knows perhaps make the playoffs and even a trophy .This league is unpredictable .Which makes it exciting .Charlotte FC is a good team.Carolina has a true representative in MLS
It was really just one of those matches. You could tell from the start it was going to be Charlottes day, and even if we had everyone we couldn’t have done anything. Everything they hit toward goal was a rocket top bins or a laser into the bottom corner. Every cross into the box was inch perfect and the blocked everything we tried to put on goal. Considering the absences, we played really well. I’m pretty sure we out performed them on XG and we’re probably the better side through the 90’. Charlotte held possession well but didn’t do too much when they had it for long spells. We really just need this international break to get everyone back and focus on league play. We need to bring all we have to RB and 3 points is essential. GO REVS!!!!!!!!!!
Love your optimism as usual. I also think this is emblematic of the type of game tajon would have bailed us out of. We're missing his pure upside a lot. I think the defense will improve too when kessler gets fit.
Likewise. Only ever watched World Cup, Euro Championship, and the occasional Bundesliga match before Charlotte got it's MLS team. Now I'm all about the MLS, along with my Bundesliga and International Teams (USMNT & Germany baby)
Yea I actually used to bash on the mls because it was nowhere near the amount of talent it has now. When Lafc got their team I was immediately hooked. It’s so entertaining to watch because every match could lean toward any team winning.
@@emilybranigan6258 it’ll be a close one, obviously going to have to back Charlotte to win this one but wouldn’t be surprised if we have our first draw today
@@gogousa6661 From our understanding here in the Carolinas, they would consider opening the upper levels if the lower bowl sold out completely. The lower bowl holds between 31k-38k people. We'd need people to buy season/single-game day tickets consistently enough to warrant opening the upper levels. But, atm, with us getting about 30k, we're 2nd in attendance right now.
He's one of the best decisions our club made. We have a lot of talent on the squad. I can't wait to see the rest of the season. Charlotte FC's going to be a contender this season. Even if we don't win the MLS Cup. I expect we'll make it to the playoffs.
It was. It really was. I was there last night. You should keep watching Charlotte FC games man! Maybe they'll be the team that makes you a fan of a MLS club?
Ah classic Charlotte and blacking out games. Been dealing with this for 25 years. Goalkeeper, Bender, and our Polish striker is top notch. How long will Bender stay in mls. Not long I’d imagine! I’ll get my names down soon I just don’t want to misspell lol.
@@imanidiot9808 cmon lad have you watched any of the others? I agree he’ll stay in mls no doubt but cmon he’s been arguably our best. He’s class and a rookie. Give him time he’ll be a very solid winger in time just needs experience
@@imanidiot9808 Bruh....Bender is an amazing player, with amazing talent. Some Charlotte FC fans are scared he'll move to European leagues after the 2026 world cup, maybe even before. I personally don't want him to. He's a great catch for Charlotte FC, and one hell of a player.
First the Revs blew a 2 goal lead to the Royals of RSL and now they get thumped by the Crown. Almost seems as if the Revolution has a problem dealing with monarchies. But overall an amazing win by CLTFC, the first win in franchise history and the first home win and first home goal all in the same game is phenomenal. Go Crown!
They also blew a 3-0 aggregate lead and losing on penalties in leg 2 against Pumas in the CCL, which means they blew a combined 5-0 lead in back to back games.
Or you know, maybe it's this thing like playing with 3rd and 4th string center backs and a 3rd string goalie. Heavily rotated squad in the midfield and forward line as well. Small things like that. 🤔
@@paulmiller7838 you right. I’m sure some people who read your comment were unaware of the injuries. Quite the moment but not a statement. Still a lot to prove. Eyes on Świderski 👀 tho, creative movement first touch and finishing. However If Gil had scored that 95’... goal of the week contender.
I was 2 when the Panthers were founded and 4 when they began play. I've been a fan for as long as my memory goes back. So happy that NC now has a soccer program as well. Last thing we need is MLB.
This team needs Henry Kessler and Andrew Farrell back so badly. Omar Gonzalez was awful in Toronto, and he has been absolutely useless for New England. They had one obvious need, regardless of who they could potentially lose, and he was all they could do?
Omar has been flat out a LIABILITY! He has been bloody awful and needs to hang up the boots (AJ as well). He's not the only one though. Lleget has not proven to be worth any of the money that was spent on him (Unless he is trying out to be the next field goal kicker for the Patriots). He hides behind defenders so as not to have the ball passed to him, and then throws his hands up to say "I'm open" while BEHIND the play when the person on the ball is clearly going to play the ball forwards. He himself almost NEVER plays the ball forwards. He often loses possession in dangerous areas. All of these things he has been doing for years not just at the club level but at the national team level (which is why in the last two camps he got 0 minutes and wasn't even called into this latest camp). BUT, what do Omar, AJ and Lleget all have in common? They all used to play for Bruce in the old glory days.
@@emilybranigan6258 I think it will be a very close game. Cincinnati has not been great last year and especially against Austin this year. They did have a comeback with Miami, but they haven't proven themselves just yet. Charlotte on the other hand started out a little rough, and you can tell they need more cohesiveness. This game against New England was really good (even though NE was missing some key players). But CLT has shown a lot of potential already. They have a fast pace, and Swiderski and Bender have already been deadly. I'd say Charlotte is slightly favored to win this one.
@@emilybranigan6258 what team do I think you’re stronger? Cincinnati. They’ve played a tougher schedule than we have and they have six points in the standings. What team do I think will win? Momentum speaks. Both teams came off of wins last weekend, but only one is at home. I think there is a slight edge for Charlotte, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Cincinnati creates a draw.
Honestly, now that my state has a team, and the city’s only 30-45 minutes away from where I live, I might start watching MLS. Might watch a game live and start supporting them too, who knows.
Brother, I feel you. I've been watching the highlights and videos all over RU-vid from the game last night. I didn't even go to bed until 1am, I was so hyped from the win.
Congratulations Charlotte FC on your first win of your inaugural MLS run against the New England Revolution this past Saturday. You got more games to come. Keep it up! You might be a postseason contender in the near future. Crowns up!
@@emilybranigan6258 You might have to wait until Saturday to find out who is the better MLS team and who will come out on top of this contest in the Battle of the Queen City Nicknames match
Let's hope this is the start and CFC has figured some stuff out. We can't count on deflections going our way, and can count on them continuing to pop up against us. Keep the high energy and proper playstyle! I think we've got a great coach, keeping him might be difficult.
Doubtful. Ramirez is really hyped to be in the US as a coach, and is pretty thankful that Charlotte FC gave him that opportunity. I think he'll be around for awhile.
Man this commentator screams for everything, great game by Charlotte nonetheless . Good too see a sporting city like them achieve what they have with this expansion team!
@@Fuzzhead392 They really are. Meanwhile supposed “powerhouses” like Inter Miami and LA Galaxy are looking woeful. Underdogs finding their stride in MLS. Love to see it.
