@@McRizza123 Besides Monterrey and Tigres, Atlas, Leon, Pumas, Mazatlán, and Toluca all finished 1st in their group. This means that 7/15 groups were won by a Liga MX team. If you consider that Liga MX teams are playing every game as an away team and basically in preseason form relative to MLS squads, they’ve actually done very well objectively speaking. It’s one thing to let your preconceived notions predict what you thought would happen in this tournament, but from an objective standpoint, Liga MX teams 😂have done very well in this tournament and have been very competitive. Something tells me MLS teams would not do very well if the advantages they have were the other way around. For one, MLS teams have only ever won a handful of official matches in Mexico for all of history, I think Liga MX teams have more away victories in this tournament alone. 😂

@@robotniqueee this is a rivalry between Mexican Fútbol and American “soccer”. 2 very different philosophies and the MLS is trying to capitalize on the bad moment Liga MX is going through, couple that with the arrival of Messi to the MLS, yeah they’re trying to make Messi win it to bring the world’s attention to the MLS. But even though there’s only a handful of Liga MX teams that can actually win this tournament, they know that what’s really at stake here is the Liga MX pride and reputation. And Tigres as the current Champion knows that and did what was EXPECTED of them.
