There was also the Cashin header that was disallowed against Ipswich recently. The ref.actually apologised to Paul Warne afterwards as he realised it was a break down in communication between him and his linesman. Things do even themselves out over the season. Not just in the EFL, even VAR can it wrong just as Spurs v Brighton a few weeks ago.

There are soft pens, and then there's that Azaz one, his toenail got clipped and he flopped, completely different.

Why would anyone complain about being awarded a blatant clear penalty? It's the end of the season, players are tired, we have a limited squad and Burton have new life about their team with some very good recent results, a win is a win and a very good one. Who cares if we don't get anywhere in the playoffs? Considering where we were last season, being in the playoffs at all is pretty damn good. Sheffield Wednesday have been out of form also, we can give anyone in this league a game when we are on it. We should give it a few years and a few transfer windows with actual transfer fees before we start getting our knickers in a twist again 😆

Doesn’t matter. A certain other club proved last season you can scrape through play off semi finals, not manage a shot on target at Wembley and go up on an own goal. We’ll see how we get on.

Agree to a certain extent about chances in play offs but the extra cash will come in handy and back in 2014 QPR had one shot on target at Wembley when good old Zamora scored and we all know what happened. If Wednesday do not get automatic we might have a possible chance? We missed out on automatic back in 1992 and lost to Blackburn in the play offs even though we had finished third.

Considering our situation last season finishing 7th is enough for most fans. Penalty decision was soft no question but then again Cashin's header against Ipswich was wrongly disallowed so blame refs.not club or fans fault? EFL refs. have been diabolical all season.

It’s in line with the rules of the game - any contact in the area, regardless of direction of player or if ball under control or not, it’s a penalty. Bird got to the ball before the defender and defender clipped bird. So, ref got that one right!! 😂😂

Clear pen regardless running away from goal if that happens anywhere else on the pitch it's foul so why isn't a pen ? It's right decisions serves Burton right for being negative and just playing for point and Burton manager needs glasses
