That French half-back is the best female in that position I have ever seen. Imagine what she and some of that team are going to be like in a couple of years time. Skill, passion, speed, field awareness that U20 players usually don't have.

I think we've just watched the future of women rugby. The amount of skills on display is light years away from anything we've known so far. The world has just discovered the women younger version of Dupont and Blanco in the same team.

The Italian camera for most matches has been useless. England again in this match are poor in the basics. Tackling we are way off the standard & achieved few dominant tackles. The opposition were quick off the break down & allways going forward. Clearly this set up needs some more time too produce better performance. Not knocking the effort the people put in. It is what it is in the bigger picture. But the TV picture being awful has no excuses.

A thrashing. Well done France. English teams seldom trust their backs which is a shame and unfortunately has been endemic in the coaching culture.

Even the score doesn’t reflect how much better the French are. Lovely open play. A French woman in attack never had less than two players, one on each shoulder to pass the ball to. English tackling was dire. A lot for England to learn, but to be fair, despite French massive superiority England did not give up.

With the camera constantly dropping in and out of focus, this is barely watchable for me. Whoever filmed it needs to badly update their gear!

England : no game, no talent, only bodybuilders and big moms. It's not a team.

I find your commentary a little hasty. There is no substantive reason why English women are inferior to French women. On both sides of the Channel, we have the same faith in rugby... With a bonus for the British, given their long history in the sport. Based on my very limited skills, I'd put the blame for this rout on the staff and the federation rather than on the players. Let's go! Wake up! We're waiting for you, ladies, for the next crunch to be more balanced... and therefore more exciting for us spectators.
