Wow what a shocking pitch, played because of necessity, same for both teams but a good leveller. Injuries to players that probably wouldn't happen on a better pitch.
From a neutral view, it was a great game of football on a cabbage patch of a pitch. Chesterfield fans can console themselves with the fact that they played well enough to win, but the odds went against them. Halifax did a great job of robbing the league champions of their glory. Well played both sides, next week the Spireites will be champions.
When we only need 1 point to win the title, that performance from Grimes, Banks, Williams and Clements was not acceptable…absolute slap in the face to the 2300 fans who traveled on a Weds night to support!!! I realise I’ll get shit for this but I’d drop every single one of them for the Boreham Wood game!
Tinpot Team, Tinpot Pitch. Every single pass from Chesterfield was a gamble on what the ball was supposed to do. One team was more used to that and they won. We'll never play you again
From a team that was always in the old 4th or 3rd division your a fan that knows nothing about your history, Halifax won this league many years ago then got relegated into this division just like you, good luck next year just don’t get illusions of grandeur your just a small town football team like Halifax!
In our first 31 league games, we won 26 and we failed to win 5. In our 9 league games since up until now, we won 3 and we failed to win 6. What's happening, hopefully this isn't a sign of things to come in League 2 :(
Wouldn't think much of it they have just taken there foot of the gas a bit due to being so far Infront but I just want them to get the win to take them up soon so it can settle the nerves
surely you wasn’t expecting us to win every single game? we’re gonna have bad games here and there! but when the form drops we need to get behind the players not complain and begin to doubt them when they’ve got us top of the league and 21 points clear
@@slxya290Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying anything like that, I'm just saying that I hope this form doesn't carry on until next season, I'm still going to back the team no matter what though, it's just a small concern I have when looking at our recent form compared to our form for most of the season. Ultimately, I'd back the team no matter what (Chesterfield have been my second favourite team since the last few months of the 2015-16 season and since then, I've seen us get relegated twice in a row and we've been stuck in the National League since), and I am very happy with this season overall though.
Yeah because that’s going to happen 😅! Enjoy yet another year in non-league obscurity with your council owned rugby pitch and pathetic 1800 home fan attendance 😆 can’t wait for you to be dumped out of the play offs at the first round AGAIN!!!
Halifax fully deserved their win and could/should have had two more. We were far the better side on the night. We were the better side at Cheaterfields ground too and were very unlucky to lose. On this showing Cheaterfield will really struggle in League 2 next year!!! And as for blaming the pitch their fans should be blaming their players for a lack luster performance against the leagues in form team. Up the Shaymen!!
Grow up, your fans were all complaining that the game might be off, you wanted the game on but as soon as you lose its all suddenly the game shouldn't be on
@@davidreed9671pitch looked a lot better than I thought it would, expected it to be like going back to the 80s. Halifax coped much better with it though and looked hungrier, we looked sluggish. In hindsight wish it had been called off but we lost due to being second best.
Can't believe Chesterfield fans whingeing about getting beat by halifax..they were 2nd best in every aspect of the match...even when they met earlier in the season halifax were the better side and were unlucky to lose it right at the end..they'll def win it but they need to hold their hands up when they've been gubbed...
