Pity this took a couple of days to put up, and the attendance wasn't great. Still, keep building and this fixture will only grow and grow!

Fixture should be announced much sooner next year. league needs to decide to go all in on international games and stop being so half assed

This is like the highlights Bristol Bears had when they were in the Championship. They had bigger crowds though, even when half the stadium was being rebuilt.

I've seen double that at South Leeds stadium watching Hunslet. This is a tad embarrassing

The crowd was disappointing but did anybody watch any of the T20 World Cup in the West Indies mainly empty stadiums a competition paid for mainly by The Indian media!

Such a shame to see how far league has fallen in France since its hey day, still onwards and upwards. Hows that saying go ? The best time to plant a tree was 100 years ago, the 2nd best time is now.

From an NRL fan and casual observer: Uk superleague and RFL should do this. 1. Keep the current teams - remove promotion -relegation all together. This provides stability. You might lose fans in the short term from those fans of clubs that have been left out (or they could be one of the new teams added). Bring in another 2 or 3 french teams. If you build it they will come. Engage the grassroots like the NRL have, this is the reason they have become a powerhouse. A strong grassroots demands higher viewing figure and more lucrative deals. 2. Schedule more end of season tours - Have the french/english tour oceania. Its great to see the french tour Ghana (africa). Start off or end in PNG which will be a sell out - no matter who is playing. Regular season should just be about club games....no mid season tests 3. Latch on to your personalities within the game. Cross promote more with the soccer players etc who are fans of League. 4. The mentality should be about expansion expansion expansion...none of this small mindedness. Have teams in London, Paris, Bareclona, 5. Go hard on facebook, twitter, instagram, promote your team, your players, your history... (Leigh leopards do a great job) 6. Improve on commentators who hype the games instead of whingers. (see NRL commentators like vossy) I know some of this might be hard to do right now..but small steps.

The game in the UK has been historically located and marketed across two English counties. Internationally it needs to start there. The game is a club game. That is evident in the international attendance figures in that region. Sadly I'm don't think it can grow the level the RFL want. They need to promote it more. Have a home nations every other year. It'll be full of Super League players. It may spark interest.

A shockingly inept and unworthy presentation of International RL imo. Not only did the commentators (who, btw, are good on the radio) sound like they were calling a Championship friendly, (Job done! WTF?) but the stream kept cutting out and I had to sign in several times...before getting an uninterrupted last 20 minutes. To say there are a dozen examples here of why inferior sports command much better audience numbers and comments would be an understatement. Containing my disappointment, anger and frustration at the RFL for this travesty is very difficult. As ever, the players deliver in spades. The governing body is drastically letting down our 'warriors'. If Union weren't such a pathetic game, there'd be defections by the dozen. RFL...BEWARE!!!!

For this game to be truly played with a nod to the past, the game should have been made illegal at half time with the players forced to give thier boots and uniforms to the local Union team 😂😂

And people had to pay to watch a one sided game (it was always going to be one sided everyone knew it would be) filmed on camcorders? Putting this garbage behind a paywall is like greggs charging £20 for a sausage roll. Shame on the RFL!! Majority of league supporters almost exclusively all live in poorer areas of the country on average, they still have to fork out money for a sky subscription to watch super league despite sky putting minimal effort or care into the sport (certainly put no money into grassroots), Then have the nerve to ask them to pay for this? Shame!! A sport created for the working class for the benefit of the working class but has turned its back on the working class. This comment will be deleted despite there being no foul language, bigotry or violence in the words, but because the truth makes the RFL look bad. And if there's one thing the RFL has cared more about for the past 50 incompetent years other than the sport and the communities the sport used to support, it's their own respect that they truly believe they are owed. Shame shame shame.

Plenty of comments about the crowd, which was 4,500. In Toulouse that was as good as it was ever going to be. The city isn't an RL town by any means. I assume if it had been played nearer Perpignan it would have drawn a larger crowd but even then it wouldn't be that much better. As for those who said they thought the attendance would be higher either don't know about the current situation of RL in France or enjoy making disingenuous comments, especially of the negative sort. Some good tries 🙂but the editing and length of the video left something to be desired 😞.

I know not many care about the international games, but there were some silly skills on offer in this one.

All England games should be played in England, waste of time and money going over to france by the look of it. Move them around aswell, this game would’ve been a sell out at Hull KR this year, but of smart thinking needed please.

The biggest travesty are all these comments which keep berating other sports like Union or Cricket. The reality is much simpler: Rugby League in the UK is awful at telling stories, promoting its players and creating any kind of a narrative which makes a wider audience want to watch the game. Why does darts get such a large engagement? When you break it down it's two people throwing miniature spears at a piece of cork, but when you tell the stories of the players and create a great environment to watch the sport in, people want to engage and spend their hard earned wages watching it. Rugby League is in a bit of a civil war at the moment - some want to expand, some want to keep it in the heartlands and yet all want it to grow. The road has two paths but have very different outcomes, so what is the answer? Whilst it is still in question, the sport will struggle to grow and Super League players will continue to have second jobs to pay the bills. That's a real shame.

This is the reason the French chickened out of the World Cup.

Goodness this is the only English sport that England really doesn't like at all. At least PNG likes the sport, its the only country where it is the main sport.

love league but this was pathetic turn out and marketing,some of it might not be their fault,due to euros going on and basically union is massive over there as well ,not to mention the rugby league world cup,was horrible low turn out and high ticket prices compared to union world cup with 857 million global audience tuning in to watch it ,this sport it seems like will always be in the shadow of union ,i watch more union now coz of the way they market and advertise generates a lot of interest from the public
