Why didn't the fact-checkers use AI to help the moderators ask better questions in real time? Vance's rhetoric would have him walking back statements constantly. Walz would have sailed through on the truth while empowering undecided voters to turn out. Unfortunately, NBC moderators, in trying not to seem biased, gave more time to Vance, treated him like they didn't want to be accused of being biased, and accepted nonanswers as answers. They did not force answers, they did not call him out, and they did not do their jobs to make sure the people knew Vance was lying. Instead, he was allowed to flood the zone with misinformation and disinformation, "calling out, 'Fire!', in a crowded theater", as if it were protected speech. Trump, the boy who lied wolf, cannot cry censorship, he is the wolf. The people who believe and elevate Trump's lies are the true threat to democracy. The lies are used to empower people to incite violence, to sew mistrust in our institutions, and to gaslight the gullible into a delusional false sense of reality, where critical thought has lost out to cognitive dissidence. Ohio chose anatomical freedom, and even there, Republican'ts tried to cheat the people. Their desire to control people, as if the people are slaves, is almost as disgusting as their fear mongering (end of days), bigoted rhetoric.
