people are thirsty for real art and is a shame that they offer us crap, garbage that someone without a brain can do (and without a heart) is sad that to see great art one has to go to a museum only (and a certain type of museum).
@@artefuse This is a interesting time for art, and it is alive for sure, got a strong blow by the "non artists" who think themselves as artists (in word only) but luckly real art is a need (if you´re alone on an island and already worked out what to eat you´ll do art, not silly installations and all that nonsensical fake fraud) some people who have the guts (David vs Goliath kind of fight) are trying to learn a bit of craft (I´m not saying everyone has to be like Ingres) and do real expressions that the real people can get touched by (not "experts" or fools who need to read a paper to "understand" and "like" determined postmodern "artist"). Real great is evident by itself and anyone can recognize it, is not so much a intelligent test (although it requires to a degree) but a feelings test, if you need to read a paper, or to be indoctrined by some ideology to feel and like a piece of art then the work itself failed, required a third party to brainwash you into liking it. It is just like "The king new clothes" story, many people in fear to appear like idiots will follow the blind man to the pit and that´s EXACTLY what happened with art in the last decades, this video is just a proof of that, and there´s worse I´m afraid, here there were some average attempts at least. So yes, art is not dead, the only one who we need to bury is postmodern garbage that its only aim is to get easy money taking advantage of the vanity and ignorance of the rich, a complete ego cult is postmoder contemporary "art". Postmodern art denounces itself as the fraud it is, so much that it requires to be inside a museum and the blessing and input from so called "experts" it would be passing either as a everyday object or a piece of trash, there is nothing intellectual about that, but a fraud, nothing else.
I find local smaller galleries and outdoor local fairs to have the best stuff and it's affordable. The Expos are mainly large galleries with the same stuff that's been done for over 30 years. I appreciate these videos though because it keeps me in touch on the Expo level.

@@artefuse Seriously? It's what you're supposedly recording? Fine Art: Noun 1) Art produced or intended primarily for beauty rather than utility (meaning "functionality" or the ability to use it, like an artistically designed set of soup bowls do NOT constitute "FINE art" but are rather "FUNCTIONAL" art) 2. Any of the art forms, such as sculpture, painting, or music, used to create such art. and 3) (and this one is the most important part of the definition) Something requiring HIGHLY DEVELOPED TECHNIQUES AND SKILLS.
@@katiedc8239 You have to look outside that box. Everyone has their own opinions about art. What is art and why does it have to be defined? Same with the term "Fine Art". How about contemporary art.How do you feel about that?
No, I don't have to "look outside the box" because of "revisionist" language and attitudes. Redefining basic, common sense, has-stood-the-test-of-time language, facts and definitions, only waters down (dilutes and muddies) the gifts and talents and work God has given mankind, which ultimately muddies the results of those gifts, talents and work. And contemporary art falls under "fine art". And for me personally, I think there's some really good contemporary art out there. I also think there's a lot of really bad contemporary out there, ESPECIALLY IN THIS PARTICULAR SHOW/VIDEO you shared.@@artefuse
