They did not show the goal that did not count. At the grounds the crowd thought it had been scored. It even showed goal on the screen but the ref had blown the whistle before it went in. No idea why. Halifax showed how well they can play in the last 20 minutes. Not sure what they were doing for the first 70. As Cavalry was working out from the back, it was really odd to see our front three take it in turns to rush the defender with the ball, who would pass it to one side or the other while our forward retreated and another one would rush the new ball carrier, who would pass it back to the now free defender, repeat. I would think that all three need to rush at the same time, followed up by a couple of mid-fielders at least to plug the gap and force them to make a more difficult pass through traffic at least. We spent a lot of time defending against 4 or 5 attackers with 7 of our players, leaving a huge gap for their remaining 5 or 6 to overwhelm our three forwards in trying to pick up any loose balls. I really liked the concept of the 3-4-3 but wish we were using our proven ability to pass our way into their end rather than lobbing hail-marys into space. Taking two touches on the ball before passing didn't help us either. It wasn't until we started to one-touch pass that we were able to pass faster than they could take us out. We know they can play well together. Just wish they would do it more often
