Players need to do better cos the refs have clearly made their point for what will get cards. I think there was always going to be a few early season it might take a few rounds before it settles down. Having said that, the cards in the Hull derby were nothing other than sheer stupidity from individual players

It's only gonna get worse throughout the season. The new ruling is pathetic. Next season it changes again, apparently, takles have to be made no higher than armpit height. We can thank Nick Fozzard, Bobbie Goulding & a few others for that. They've ruined the game. Absolute wasters they are.

Leeds, what a great buy of Momorofski he is a brilliant journey man in the NRL. He did good for Easts, Melbourne, and Penrith. Hack, he was even deacent at west's tigers. Good buy Leeds a good buy indeed.

Thought this was the best game off the weekend especially saying it was both team's first game , i think salford will shock a few teams again and be up there along with leeds , subject to injuries,

Think I'm gonna swap Croft for Cust in my fantasy team. Cust will prove to be a very good signing for Salford, wish he was still with us to be fair, always puts a shift in when he plays. Not sure what the problem was at Wigan, they never said why he was dropped, which leads me to believe he was treated unfairly. Joe Shorrocks will be a big game player for Salford, too; doesn't do anything spectacular, but his gae is solid & he's very dependable.

breaks my heart seeing Sam Lisone playing overseas, hes a junior Kiwi captain, i was always excited to see him grow into a great footballer, but alas hes not even in the country

Leeds are gonna struggle again this year & I think it's beautiful. Got Newman in my fantasy team but I'm binning him off tomorrow. Waste of space that he is.

I think the idea is it stop them wasting time swapping between different angles, which happened a lot in previous seasons. No more "go back to that last angle... no, not that one... now back again" Although I can see how this solution is less than perfect

@@tomnm1 yeah, it took forever last season. Be better if they just flick between angles for the tv viewers and people in the ground and let the video ref watch 6 screens. Best of both worlds

@jackwentrunning yeah good shout, ofc the viewers want to see what the ref sees but I suppose it doesn't matter if the broadcast is a touch behind what the ref is looking at, maybe there's no perfect solution. It's good that they're trying new things but I do hope they can take feedback and adapt quickly!

Salford was the better team they defended and attacked better if they didn't give so many plenty's away they'd of won this, if we went of this game the Leeds hype train as derailed in the 1st game

Just hypotheticals mate, they did give away lots of penalties putting themselves under pressure and maybe it did cost them but Leeds still had to take advantage so credit to them. That's how sport works pal are you new to it or something? It was a fair result just accept it and be critical of your teams ill discipline and not taking advantage of field position instead of whinging that it was somehow unfair because of imaginary if's and but's
