reliving what moment??? of how Memphis finally showed everyone what kind a team really was, and ole miss winning the Sugar bowl? oh... that moment was pretty good!
+Colin White Haha, Memphis won nine games this season. For them that is a near miraculous season. Ole Miss, on the other hand, saw all their National Championship hopes go up in smoke in one delicious game at the Liberty Bowl. Oh the sting...
Dude, everyone knew ole miss wasn't going to the playoffs when they got torched by Florida. I agree tho, that losing to this shitty team didn't help their case. And I remember 2 months ago Memphis was 8-0 and people were shouting playoffs, lol. Ole miss chances were long gone by then. At least ole miss didn't lose to Auburn, what a joke! Oh the sting...
Dude Memphis make it to a NY6??? Oh no... they didn't. They got sent to the Birmingham bowl (where the SEC sends it's scraps) and whooped by Auburn. I mean, who does that???
@@grizzliestigerscardinals4130 Defeating Peyton Manning and his Tennessee Volunteers hat has to go down as the biggest win by the Memphis Tigers football program. The Tennessee Volunteers were a college football powerhouse in the 90s. From 1990-1999, Tennessee only had one season with less than 9 wins. 1995-1998, the Vols had a minimum of 10 wins each season including the 13-0 1998 national championship season. So yeah, I would say Memphis defeating Tennessee (UT finished the season ranked #9 in the AP Poll) in 1996 was easily the biggest win ever for the Tigers program.
@@grizzliestigerscardinals4130 Except that was more luck and bad play from the Vols than great play by Memphis. They just hung in the Vols game until winning it at the end, in this game they fell behind by 14 and then flat out dominated from that point on.
@@thompsonreed244 Agreed. Ole Miss in the Freeze Era wasn't at the level of those '90s Vol teams. In fact that program hasn't reached that level since.
+Frank Selvera You do realize our SoS is actually comparable with Ohio State on paper right? Go look it up. We already beat a highly ranked SEC opponent and two of our remaining conference games (Houston and Temple) are opponents who are also currently in the top 25 poll. Not to mention we beat Bowling Green and Cincinnati who are both very strong teams. Tell me how that's a weak SoS.
Too bad right after this game Justin Fuente decided to essentially start working for VT and the team found out about it and tanked the rest of that season.
Brendan Carter. I think the American Athletic Conference is a really good conference this year, for its' public and societal image (which means from un-analytical fans, as well as ones that don't do research). With that being said, the race for the best team in the AAC is going to be crazy. The testament of a good conference is if it is rendered to look like a mediocre conference; if there isn't an undefeated team in conference play. If there is no undefeated team in conference play, you can bet that most of the teams will be more "tested" and therefore will have more bowl wins. Of course the AAC doesn't get this kind of respect because of their non-Power 5 moniker. Nonetheless, I think they are a borderline power conference, and wins like this don't really surprise me (for most of the teams because a lot of them still have that Conference USA type of mindset).
Brendan Carter. They've also been improving ever since their inception. I think they will continue to get better, if they stay together of course. The conference doesn't seem stable with all of these hot coaching hires.
+8MoneyIzmyMission8 Judging by the way your talking, you say your an adult, yet why are you cussing in an argument with a supposed little kid? Sounds like your not to confident in your argument.
ExsertYew0949 Best QB prospect since Luck is stupid as hell dude. And I'll call the little kid a bastard if I want because he acts like that. Don't baby kids that's why they run over you when they get older. Somebody should be teaching him some respect because this little fool is running around calling people faggots because they disagree with his nonsense.
People said that Alabama sucked ass when they lost against Ole Miss(even though the the score was only 45-40 and we came back from all those turnovers)but Ole Miss lost to a team that wasn't even in the Top 25 but Alabama still managed to get into the playoffs, beat Michigan State, and head to the National Championship in Phoenix,Arizona to beat Clemson. But Ole Miss still a good team though. Can't wait for the next game next year.ROLL TIDE :)
