Judge Fleischer, you are such a wonderful servant of your community!💖 I appreciate that you offer compassion to those who really deserve it, and educate those who are having difficulty. I also appreciate your wanting to keep your community safe.😊 Thank you for posting your courtroom proceedings.
The audio and video improvements are excellent! Huge difference. PS. It gave me a laugh that everyone in the back is so well-behaved today. And very quiet.🤭
I don't know if I completely agree. There are thousands of people who plead guilty while being innocent. DAs conviction rates are used to scare clients into pleading away their rights. Look up false confessions, it's really insane. John Oliver did a program on this.
i think i liked the bowtie better, it was quirky. but still with the tie very nice clean look, and awesome judge ! thanks for uploading -ben, west texas
Dude has a plea agreement and was coerced to change it and go to trial where now if he’s found guilty he faces a lot longer time in jail. Craziest court ever on the regular.
I don't think coerced is the right wording here. The judge wouldn't accept the agreement. I assume that's within his purview else the defense lawyer might have objected. I agree that it was a troublesome dialog that let up to the judge not wanting to accept the agreement on the assault charge and I don't think it reflected well on the Judge Fleischer, but I think it was just unfortunate coincidence. Also Judge Fleischer doesn't seem to like it when defendants accept such agreements as a short term quickfix, because it might haunt the defendant long term, so he goes far to impress upon them that it is a viable option to fight the charge in the courtroom instead.
That kid with the single DUI has some nerve! But that's what happens when you raise a kid without telling them no. It's more important to that guy about how the judge talks to him then if he's guilty or innocent!. how sad. The world isn't a nice place that's it! .
That whole plea bargain system feels like a joke from a book about game theory. Remember trial for combat? I feel any justice system concerned only with finding resolution, and less so about finding truth and justice, has a long way to go.
Judge Fleischer, we never had Thanksgiving on a Tuesday. Thanksgiving has always been celebrated on the FOURTH Thursday of November. It's been this way since beginning of time
@@davesmith7706 There was no misunderstanding. They set a date for trial for the 19th of November, that's a Tuesday. Then the lawyer said: "I don't remember when thanksgiving is" The judge proceeded to look at something then he responded: "It's Tuesday so trial date is the Tuesday before" No only did I understand it clearly, if you click on the subtitles, it will also confirm that I am correct.
The lawyers in the court are horrible. In no other court does one see this chaos. Are they in kindergarten? How often does one have to tell you to be quiet? They have absolutely no respect!
